Richardson & Wrench to donate a portion of spring sales to the Starlight Foundation

Richardson & Wrench has again pledged their support to the Starlight Children’s Foundation, with a portion of their spring sales proceeds to be donated to the charity.

The group explained each agency and individual agents within each agency are able to set the amount they want to donate at the beginning of the period as part of a campaign which occurs every year.

The charity raises funds to bring “fun, joy and laughter” to seriously ill children and young people.

The program includes their wish granting program, visiting children as ‘Captain Starlight’, delivering necessities and entertainment to sick children, and creating social connections in what can be an isolating environment through their LiveWire program. They also offer health assistance to remote Indigenous communities.

Richardson & Wrench (R&W) has raised an accumulative total of $634,483 during their long-term partnership with Starlight.

R&W head of Brand and Network Strategy, Amanda Ward, explained the the company was proud to support the Starlight Children’s Foundation this spring, because happiness matters, now more than ever.

“We are very proud of our long term partnership with the Starlight Children’s Foundation,” Ms Ward said.

“We understand how impactful the Starlight programs are. Their initiatives provide support, joy and hope to countless children and families.

“We know how blessed we are and it makes us happy to sprinkle a little joy to these gorgeous kids through the foundation’s fabulous work.”

Richardson & Wrench engage with Starlight on a number of other levels, from merchandise sales on Starlight Day, the spring campaign and fundraising for Starlight as part of the R&W Running Team in the Sydney and Brisbane Blackmores Running Festivals.

Richardson & Wrench also aims to raise awareness about Starlight’s wonderful activities, through special promotions and group visits to Starlight Express Rooms.

R&W has reported some staff even volunteer in these Express Rooms, spending time with the children in hospitals, while others volunteer at Starlight’s events.
