In the past 14 months, Richard Matthews Real Estate has raised and donated $40,000 to Beyond Blue and $20,000 for Ovarian Cancer Australia.

Smashing the original goal of $10,000, Richard Matthews Real Estate raised $20,000 in donations for Beyond Blue in the lead-up to Mental Health Month.
The team raised $9385 in community donations and, exceeding the promise to match donations, instead rounded up to a generous $10,615 donation from the company.Â
The donations were collected in the lead-up to Mental Health Month (October). The team held a fundraising ‘Big Blue Table’ where staff, clients and friends gathered to have important conversations over coffee and cakes.
A cause very close the hearts of the team at Richard Matthews, especially Director Matthew Everingham, everyone was thrilled to learn their donations will go toward the Beyond Blue Support Service, saving lives and building a healthier Australia every day.Â
Noting mental health was an important cause and an issue all too common in real estate, Director & Auctioneer Matthew Everingham thanked everyone who donated.
“I think we are helping so many people by both donating and raising awareness, it does make a difference,” he said.
At present, Richard Matthews is sitting at the top of the leader board for the most money raised for Beyond Blue through their ‘Big Blue Table’ initiative; leading by more than $10,000.
Director & Auctioneer Richard Baini added it was heartbreaking to see the significant increase in people suffering from mental health challenges and struggling to find a way out.
“Beyond Blue provides an amazing service that can turn a person’s life around for the better with just one phone call.
“I encourage everyone struggling to reach out to these incredible people that not only save lives, but help you moving forward.”
