The top-performing independent real estate agents belonging to the Real Estate Results Network were celebrated and recognised at the 12th annual Australasian Real Estate Results Awards (ARERAs) held in Melbourne earlier this week.
This year’s ARERAs were strongly contested and saw between five and nine finalists vying for the top honour in many of the individual and agency categories.
Melbourne agency Marshall White rose above the highly competitive field of finalists, to win the coveted overall Agency of the Year award. Adelaide family owned and operated institution Toop&Toop Real Estate took home two of the biggest awards of the night: Marketing Agency of the Year and Innovation Agency of the year. Toop&Toop’s Tim Threadgold also entered the Hall of Fame for three consecutive wins for SA Agent of the Year. Other Hall of Fame inductees included Marshall White Projects for Project Excellence Agency of the Year and Mark Rumsey from David Deane Real Estate for Qld Agent of the Year.
It was Sydney agency Cunninghams who won big with 5 awards including Agent of the Year for Andrew Lutze, NSW Agent of the year to Steve Lambley and Client Services Manager of the year to Macey Nicholls. The team also took home the Community Achievement of the Year and shared the win for Digital Excellence Agency of the Year with Melbourne agency PhilipWebb Real Estate.
The colourful themed gala event was held at Melbourne Town Hall and coincided with Kickstart – RERN’s largest annual conference event, being held from Monday, February 19 until Tuesday, February 20, at Melbourne’s Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Member Agencies from across Australia and New Zealand were finalists in the 15 agency award categories while dozens of agents competed for honours in the 21 individual award categories, including Agent of the Year, Marketing Campaign of the Year, Rising Star Agency of the Year, New Agent of the Year and Property Management Performer of Year, among others.
RERN founder Michael Sheargold congratulated all of the winners and finalists on their outstanding efforts and results in 2017.

The presentations of the ARERAs is a program highlight of Kickstart, a Members-only conference providing an opportunity for principals, agents and managers to network, share and learn from leading industry experts.
