REMAX Australia has wrapped its annual network conference for 2025, with attendees challenged and inspired by industry leaders and thought-provoking speakers at the multi-day event held on the Gold Coast last week.
From performance and resilience to leadership and kindness, the event captured the attention of more than 200 attendees from across the country, who gathered at RACV Royal Pines Resort from July 23-24.
The program featured thoughtful ideas and discussions from sought-after speakers and top performers from across the network.
Kicking off day one, REMAX Managing Director Joel Davoren welcomed the network’s real estate professionals and guests, encouraging them to immerse themselves in the conversations and takeaways from the sessions to come.
He urged attendees to consider where opportunity lies to scale up, while remaining grounded in the foundations that drive growth and evolution.
“REMAX Australia has grown tremendously, and the trajectory of that growth remains strong,” Mr Davoren shared in his opening address.
“Our brand has evolved significantly, and we’re continuing to grow collectively – we’re heading toward an exciting time for us all.”
The conference marked the official launch of the new branding to the network, which began rolling out across the Australian network earlier this year.
Among the first regions globally to implement the refreshed look, REMAX Operations Director Josh Davoren said the changes have been well received throughout the network, with Australia leading the charge in embracing the new look.
High-performance real estate coach Josh Phegan delivered the first keynote address, energising the room with a focus on conscious decision making and how aligning behaviours with goals can unlock potential.
Both Sales Max and Property Management Max sessions offered valuable opportunities to hear from prominent voices both within the network and beyond.
From the network’s high-performing property management divisions, Kirstie Clarke of REMAX Bayside-Results and Cheryl Head of REMAX Success each delivered informative sessions.
These were followed by an engaging and interactive session with leading property management operations manager Jess Calvert.
REMAX Regency’s Justin Miller opened the Sales Max session with a focus on capability and compassion in business, and the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people to continue to grow in business.
Joel Arnold of ID4ME discussed leveraging data-led strategies for business expansion, and Scott Mackey of REMAX Precision shared practical lessons he’s learned from nearly three decades in real estate.
Joel Davoren continued conversation with Mr Mackey in the Sales Breakout session, reflecting on lessons learnt throughout his career, followed by conversations on growth and success with leading broker/owner Travis Gill (REMAX Advantage) and multi-office broker/owners Eiles and Brittany Hunt (REMAX Revolution).
Closing out the day one with extraordinary energy, keynote speaker Martin Heppell from The Resilience Project inspired attendees to embrace emotional awareness, share gratitude and empathy for others, and remain resilient through life’s inevitable challenges.
The network celebrated its six-monthly award winners with REMAX Bayside-Results taking out overall top office for both sales and property management net growth;
Morningside’s Kylee Harnisch from REMAX Bayside-Results winning top sales individual; Toowoomba’s Jacqui Walker Team from REMAX Success winning top team; and Victoria’s REMAX Genesis winning top property management office for percentage growth.
Celebrations continued into the evening as REMAX Australia hosted a soiree for attendees.
Off the back of day one’s high energy, three-time auctioneer of the year Justin Nickerson delved into the habits of high performers, through breaking down the decision cycle of both buyers and sellers, he highlighted the importance of leveraging actions into outcomes.
Josh Davoren, REMAX Operations Director, led a forward-seeking session on the direction of AI, encouraging attendees to remain informed about technological advancements and shift from a position of consumer to creator.
In one of the most moving sessions of the event, Kath Koschel, founder of the Kindness Factory, captivated the room with her powerful story of overcoming adversity, defying medical odds, and the transformational impact of kindness, perspective and purpose.
The conference offered an outstanding opportunity for attendees to connect with peers, engage with industry partners, and hear from exceptional speakers whose stories inspired action and reflection.
REMAX Managing Director Joel Davoren closed the event by encouraging attendees to remain connected:
“We have a real sense of community as a real estate network, and I encourage you to be open to sharing and be open to collaborating. We have somethig special here at REMAX.”
