More than 40 attendees from across the REMAX Australia network gathered on the Gold Coast last week for the group’s annual Broker Summit, a two-day event bringing business owners together to connect and share insights.
REMAX Australia managing director Joel Davoren said the event is one of the network’s most valued, giving business owners the chance to hear from leading speakers and take part in conversations with like-minded professionals.
“The insights and energy from speakers are extremely considered for our group and this year we heard some inspiring and practical perspectives,” he said.
“Our brokers are the leaders within our organisation and understanding what is important, what is necessary and what is needed to lead within the current market is crucial when looking forward as a business owner.”
The speaker lineup included leadership mentor and high-performance coach Ben Crowe, who challenged business owners to confront challenges head-on, and Daniella Gri, Executive Director of Workplace Strategy and Design at TACTIC, who shared her view that brilliance comes from people and greatness is accelerated by environment.
Rent roll broker Rob Honeycombe and Steve Marinucci, founder of Marra Finance, joined Joel for a panel discussion drawing on their respective areas of expertise.
Day two featured Amanda Vaughn, Queensland State Director at Domain Group, sharing industry perspectives, followed by Nine’s Finance Editor Chris Kohler on what’s shaping the finance landscape.
Hayley Van de Ven, CEO of REMAX The Limitless Group, closed the summit with her perspectives on leadership, negotiation and agent growth, underpinned by her belief that excellence is never accidental.
Joel said the conversations happening outside the formal agenda were just as valuable.
“The energy, momentum and forward-thinking approach from our leaders flows through to their teams,” he said.
“Seeing how engaged and willing our business owners are to share experiences and offer support to one another speaks volumes about their integrity as professionals and the strength of our network.”
The 2026 REMAX Broker Summit ran from October 18 to 20 at the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort and Spa.
