The 2021 winners of the REIV Awards for Excellence have been announced, with some strong competition across the board.
The event, which was held online on 21 October, featured many of the leading agencies from around Victoria, representing both commercial and residential property.
As always, the residential field was fiercely competitive, with Noel Jones in Mitcham awarded the Small Residential Agency of the Year, while Woodards (Manningham) took the title of Medium Residential Agency.ย
OBrien Real Estate (Carrum Downs and Chelsea) won this yearโs Large Residential Agency of the Year.
The REIVโs highly regarded Community Service Award went to non-profit firm, HomeGround Real Estate, and industry veteran Bill Di Donna from Gorman Kelly took home the Presidentโs Award.
CBRE was named Commercial Agency of the Year, ahead of finalists Nichols Crowder (Carrum Downs and Mornington) and Tiga Commercial.ย
REIV President, Adam Docking said all those involved in 2021 had done an incredible job in testing conditions.ย
โFinalists and winners of these coveted awards should be commended, not just for their excellence, but for the focus and professionalism they have held during such difficult times with seemingly everchanging market conditions,โ Mr Docking said.
โOur industry has demonstrated remarkable resilience over the past 12 months, proving how significant a contributor it is to the Victorian economy, and how important agents are to Victorians looking to realise their property goals.
โI extend huge congratulations to the indomitable Bill Di Donna, for securing the Presidentโs Award this year.โ
REIV CEO, Gil King, is looking forward to getting back to business as usual next year.ย
โIt has to be said that staging this event digitally on the eve of COVID-19 restrictions easing in metropolitan Melbourne was quite apt and is hopefully a book-end to a challenging period,โ Mr King said.ย
โSeeing agents getting in the spirit despite their distance says a lot about them and is also symbolic of the way they have conducted themselves over the past year.
โNo doubt we are looking forward to getting back to business as usual and making 2022 a stellar year.โ
โAs I complete my tenure at the Institute, I thank our members and wish them and their teams all the very best as they emerge from the pandemic and forge a successful path ahead.โ
