REA Group makes the Best Workplaces for Women list

Great Place to Work has today named REA Group on Australia’s Best Workplaces for Women list for 2022.

The announcement comes after REA placed fourth on the overall 2022 Best Workplaces List for the second consecutive year in August.

The inaugural Best Workplaces for Women List highlights 30 organisations across Australia that are committed to fostering equity in the workplace, ensuring women feel safe, heard, challenged and valued.

The companies were shortlisted using rigorous analytics and confidential employee feedback.

REA Group CEO, Owen Wilson said the REA’s place on the Best Workplaces for Women list speaks to the “great strides” the organisation had taken towards gender equity.

“As the recognition is largely based on culture and experience, I’m particularly pleased that our employees’ personal assessment significantly contributes to our place on the list,” Mr Wilson said.

“REA has a strong focus on diversity, equity and inclusion, and I’m very proud of the initiatives we have in place and where we are headed.

“We have an equal gender balance across our Australian employee base, a dedicated Women in Tech strategy and in 2022 we were recognised as an inclusive employer for our leadership by the Diversity Council of Australia.

“We acknowledge that there is still more work to do, and as a leading Australian digital business we’re particularly focused on fostering gender equity within our tech community.

“Gender is just one lens of diversity and inclusion which we are integrating into our broader program of initiatives to ensure REA continues to be a great place to work for all.”

Great Place to Work is known as the global authority on workplace culture and has been recognising the best places to work in Australia for the past 15 years.
