RE/MAX Australia's RMX26 conference draws close to 200 members

Connection, learning and inspiring stories brought REMAX members together for this year’s RMX26.

The multi-day conference featured leading industry speakers and top-performing professionals, culminating in an inspiring keynote from 11-time world cycling champion and four-time Olympian Anna Meares OAM.

Welcoming attendees, REMAX Australia Managing Director Joel Davoren encouraged the room to embrace new ideas and opportunities and stretch beyond their comfort zones while hearing from the stellar lineup of speakers.

“How you do things matters just as much as why and we have an action-packed few days with some incredible guest speakers,” he said, encouraging members to soak up the knowledge in the room from speakers and industry partners, while taking in practical insights, shared experiences and valuable opportunities to connect, learn and be inspired.

Kicking off RMX26 was real estate professional, Mat Steinwede, who shared his unique story of transformation and resilience, overcoming adversity to become an industry leader. Drawing on his experiences, Mat explored the sliding door moments that changed his direction, the importance of consistency and systems, and the genuine connections that matter.

Members then heard from a strong line-up in dedicated sales and property management breakout session. REMAX Australia Operations Director Josh Davoren led an insightful marketing panel with REMAX Aspire Managing Partner Daniel Petch, REMAX Revolution Marketing Manager Cassie Hewitt and REMAX Australia Marketing and Innovations Manager Lauren Brewer, followed by a Q&A between REMAX Australia’s No. 1 auction agent Henry Wong and Joel Davoren. The property management breakout featured Investors Edge Real Estate Managing Director Jarrad Mahon and Housemark CEO Natalie South, sharing valuable insights from their experiences in leadership.

Members came together again to hear from one of Australia’s most accomplished real estate professionals, D’Leanne Lewis, who shared insights on authenticity, personal values, discipline and staying true to your own path and closing out day one of the conference, members heard from Cotality Executive Research Director Tim Lawless, who shared data-driven insights into the forces shaping Australia’s property market.

Kicking off day two, Josh Davoren welcomed two-time Ultraman World Champion and Director of Thompson Law, Richard Thompson, who explored the parallels between endurance sport and business and sharing a powerful message on resilience and determination.

Multi-office REMAX Aspire broker owners Jarryd and Ryan Fisher took to the stage to share their story of growth and the importance they place on cultivating and protecting their office culture and ending RMX26 on a high note, world and Olympic cyclist Anna Meares OAM took to the stage to share her powerful story of determination, resilience and what it takes to keep pushing forward.

From overcoming adversity to a mindset shift focusing on the ‘what is’ rather than the ‘what ifs’, Anna, the current Chef de Mission for the Australia Olympic Team, highlighted the importance of embracing change and left members with a powerful message: “Be proud of what you’ve achieved. And keep pushing forward”.
