RE/MAX New Zealand awards its best of 2017

RE/MAX New Zealand announced its top 2017 performers last month at a gala event held at Pullman Auckland, where 140 guests celebrated their own achievements and that of their RE/MAX peers.

Keeping with tradition, the network’s ultimate individual honour, Broker Owner of the Year, was the final announcement for the evening.

Facing some worthy contenders given the growing number of quality broker owners in RE/MAX New Zealand, Ben and Nola Kloppers from RE/MAX Realty Group, Warkworth, were the ultimate winners.

There was more to celebrate for RE/MAX Realty Group with Michelle Percival named Administrator of the Year.

In a repeat performance, RE/MAX New Zealand named RE/MAX Zest, with offices in Remuera, Howick and Pokeno, as a star performer for 2017, bestowing the highest business accolade, the Pinnacle Enterprise Award, for a second consecutive year. This multi-office business also collected Top Multi-Office Awards in both transaction and commission categories.

RE/MAX Zest also picked up Most Productive Enterprise; #1 Business Growth Office; sales associate Lisa Walden took out Top Sales Agent (commission) and was the top referring agent to Pivotal Financial; and Zoran Mulouski won the #1 Business Growth Award and Top Commercial Sales Agent.

RE/MAX Realty, New Plymouth, followed up its 2016 performance with another cracking sales year in 2017 to take the top individual office award (commissions); and RE/MAX Go For Sold, Palmerston North, won top individual office award (transactions).

RE/MAX Property, in Papatoetoe, won the Property Management Business Growth Award for a stellar performance through 2017. RE/MAX One, Tauranga, was the awarded the network’s best for business growth through 2017.

Other winning individual and team performances announced this year were Top Sales Team for both commission earned and number of transactions for Team Lewis from RE/MAX Go For Sold; Personal Assistant of the Year for Robert Wu, RE/MAX Partners, Flatbush; and Special Achievement in Marketing awards went to RE/MAX Go For Sold and Team Lewis.

Jerry Chen from RE/MAX Flatbush was announced Young Agent of the Year.

RE/MAX New Zealand named Donna Russell from RE/MAX Central in Rotorua as Rookie of the Year, and she was also the network’s top agent for transactions through 2017.

The global RE/MAX network, now in more than 100 countries and territories, began in 1973 in Denver, Colorado.

RE/MAX New Zealand and RE/MAX Australia Managing Director, Michael Davoren, said the past five years had been some of the most productive for growth, both within the New Zealand and Australian networks and within offices themselves.

“Last year was massive, plus we hosted the RE/MAX Asia Pacific Convention, touted the most successful yet.

“I also visited every office in the New Zealand and the Australian networks, bar one or two, which was incredibly enlightening, rewarding and exciting, and helped create a perfect platform from which to launch this year’s new technology, new initiatives and focused strategies for growth at every level of our business, including recruitment, property management and the quality of our agents

“As our network continues to grow, it is important to celebrate our point-of-difference,” he said, “and give every customer a truly stand-out real estate experience.”

The theme for the awards event and the RE/MAX New Zealand Rally that had preceded it was a ‘Celebration of Success.’

“As much as we were celebrating the achievements of our network, our offices and our individuals, it was a celebration of what is at the very core of RE/MAX: the fact that this is truly the franchise for independently-minded agents,” said Mr Davoren
