Ray White New South Wales and ACT held its Annual Awards at Sydney’s International Convention and Exhibition Centre, recognising standout offices, principals and salespeople from across the network, which now counts more than 3,000 members, at an event attended by more than 1,100 members and guests.
Opening the night, Ray White NSW and ACT chief executive Tim Snell reflected on a tough trading year.
“This year may have tested our industry, it may have tested our company, it may have tested our resolve, but market headwinds do not change our destination, they simply demand a higher standard of leadership. They demand ‘best in market’,” he said.
Tim pointed to the group’s 124-year history as a source of confidence, saying the network had “navigated, collaborated, and ultimately grown through any number of challenges by staying true to our fundamental values.” He also credited the network’s NurtureCloud technology with giving members access to a “network effect” he said had “never seen before”, and singled out regional NSW for showing “incredible resilience, acting as market leaders” as metropolitan transaction volumes slowed through the year.
He also thanked those working behind the scenes.
“We also want to take a moment to recognise those who support your dreams from home, the partners and families who motivate and support us, regardless of what the world throws at us, tonight is for you too,” he said.
Ray White Upper North Shore and Northern Beaches took out the No.1 Business award for the fifth consecutive year, off the back of what principal David Walker described as its best year of growth to date. Accepting the award, David said adversity builds character, but what the team had learned over the past six to 12 months was that adversity reveals character.
“We are the best group in the country. We recruit the best, and we retain the best. And it’s because of the leadership you guys show us,” he said.
Ray White Double Bay picked up the No.1 Office award for NSW and the ACT, as well as No.1 International Office, and business owners Elliott Placks and Michael Krimotat were awarded the CEO’s Cup.
Elliott, principal and managing director of Ray White Double Bay, said the CEO’s Cup carried particular weight.
“This was one award that we always wanted to win. Because it’s not one that you actually get from your revenue but it’s one that the family and corporate acknowledge for the efforts and achievements, so you earn it over time,” he said.
“I’ve been with Ray White for 23 years, which is over half my life and it’s been an enjoyable ride.”
Ray White Macarthur and Nepean Group took out No.1 Business – Number of Sales, and No.1 International Multi-Partner Group – Number of Sales. Director Mark Jennings said the group, now more than 200 team members strong, was continuing to grow.
“We know that if we keep the customer at the heart of every transaction, good things come and we will continue to grow,” he said.
