Ray White Marsden targeting Upper Logan expansion

Ray White Marsden continues to not only survive but thrive in a year many would rather forget, combining with their Beenleigh office to sell more than 400 properties across Logan in the past 12 months.

Client demand is so strong, in particular from investors, that Ray White Marsden principal Avi Khan has recruited five agents in six months to service the office’s rapidly expanding selling territory south of Brisbane.

“Logan has 70 suburbs and we’re only taking care of around 18 at the moment so there is a huge opportunity,” Mr Khan said.

“Property is affordable in Logan and COVID-19 hasn’t slowed down transactions here because of the price point, so we’ve remained in growth mode.”

The basis for success of this Logan real estate office is its client-centric culture.

“We’ve just hit two consecutive record months and as we head into Christmas, business is getting even busier,” Mr Khan said.

“It’s exceptionally busy because the market here is affordable, being just three minutes’ drive from Brisbane suburbs and yet there’s a $100,000 price difference.

“Seventy per cent of sales are to investors at the moment, the majority of them being from interstate who prefer properties already tenanted.”

With huge volume increase has come the desire to expand Ray White Marsden’s unique selling proposition into the northern Logan suburbs.

“We wanted our growth to be scalable and hence we waited until this period to tap into more areas,” Mr Khan said.

“Our growth aspirations have also aligned with great talent across Logan joining our team.”

Rachael Curtis, Ray White Marsden head of residential and commercial property management, said it was a natural progression.

“We have followed what our clients have wanted and over the last three years we have attracted over 500 landlords to our businesses,” Ms Curtis said.

“They have then requested commercial deals and hence our growth into commercial. It seems timely with the pace of the market to move into Upper Logan suburbs.”

Ms Curtis said their loyal long-term clients were buying into the northern pockets, yet staying with Ray White Marsden due to the premium service received.

“This has timed well with us hiring talented agents central to those areas,” she said.

“We know that our recipe for expansion works with what the team and Ray White Beenleigh have achieved in such a short space of time. We are confident that our brand and vision for real estate will be equally successful throughout all of Logan.”
