The Macdonalds will bring in an operations manager, junior associates and new agents to the East Gosford business as they expand their presence on the Central Coast.
After more than 40 years in operation servicing the region’s real estate requirements, the Macdonald family have expanded their leading Point Clare agency into East Gosford on the Central Coast of New South Wales.
A true family business, Andrew and Karen Macdonald rebranded to Ray White over 20 years ago, with their son Lachlan Macdonald also joining them in the two businesses and heading up the expansion into East Gosford.
“We have firmly established ourselves in the Point Clare region, but for some time now we have really been wanting to expand our market, and across the bay in East Gosford is the perfect fit to complement our existing client base,” Mr Macdonald said.
Lachlan Macdonald followed his parents’ footsteps, moving straight into the real estate industry when he finished school 14 years ago and also spent a number of years working in Sydney for auctioneer Damien Cooley.
Mr Macdonald conducts hundreds of auctions a year in Sydney and beyond, contracted as an auctioneer and finessing his negotiating skills year after year, while providing the best auctioneering services to his Central Coast clients.
“Having extensive auctioneer experience and being big believers in the auction method is quite a point of difference for our business, as well as applying the most modern and up to date technology across all of our marketing,” he said.
While the existing team of six already have a lot of experience and connections in the area, the Macdonalds will be recruiting more excellent individuals to add to their new East Gosford business.
“We are excited to bring on an operations manager, as well as some junior associates and new agents. We want to start the next generation of agents in our region, as well as continue to build our rent roll and service our client’s property management needs,”
Mr Macdonald said that the past couple of years has seen a huge influx of Sydney-siders as well as interstate sea-changers flocking to the region, which he describes as a “central hub” for the coast.
“Having the brand recognition and the trust in the Ray White name certainly comes in handy, particularly with all the migration to the area from the bigger cities,” he said.
“People love it here because we are 15 minutes to the beaches, but also have the convenience of the train line and M1 motorway, so you can still feel connected with Sydney.”
The Gosford region has a mix of housing options to suit people at all stages of life, from multi-million dollar waterfront properties, smaller apartments with views, or townhouses and villas for under the $1million mark.
“I grew up here and our family has been here for generations; it truly is a wonderful place to live and we have loved showing people that for the past 40 plus years,” he said.
“A key reason for expanding into East Gosford was the relationships that we have with people through the whole coastal region,”
“We pride ourselves on our auction experience, connectivity to the city investors, strong and professional attention to detail, and our commitment to outstanding marketing,” Mr Macdonald said.
The team said that the majority of their focus over the next 12 months would be on generating their name and reputation in the area, now that they finally have a base to call home across the water.
“We are really keen to come in and compete strongly for the market share in the region, and will also be focusing on generating new managements,” Mr Macdonald said.
Ray White New South Wales CEO Andrew McCulloch congratulated the Macdonalds on the expansion of their family legacy on the central coast.
“Andrew, Karen and Lachlan have built such a fantastic business and have firmly established themselves as the go-to agency in the region, so it is a natural progression for them to expand across to East Gosford,” Mr McCulloch said.
“We congratulate the existing team and look forward to meeting the new up-and-coming professionals that will thrive under the leadership and guidance of the experienced team at Ray White Macdonald Partners – East Gosford.”
