Ray White Commercial NSW – Sydney City Fringe has welcomed Christopher O’Callaghan to the team in the role of Senior Property Manager.
Mr O’Callaghan has a varied background, having studied ancient history at university before going into the banking and financial services sector.
“Looking for a change, I found commercial real estate to be both exciting and dynamic, and I’ve spent the last five years as a property manager,” he said.
Mr O’Callaghan said he wanted to join a commercial team focused on growth, and at the same time, great customer service.
“I heard Ray White was ‘proud of every transaction’ and that really appealed to me,” he explained.
“I aim to exceed both the client’s and my own expectations, and treat even the smallest of transactions with as much respect as the high value ones.
“At first, I aim to fully understand my client’s needs and their properties. In five years I want to be an advocate for great customer service and well-respected in the wider team, and in 10 years, my goal is to be the best property manager in the business.”
Mr O’Callaghan said he had plenty of great memories throughout his career but one stood out to him in particular.
“I once had a deceased client and I went out of my way to assist the family in dealing with the administrative nightmare that is a deceased estate,” he said.
“The family was so grateful for the hard yards I put in, we kept the management and the family gave us an additional two commercial properties to manage. We still meet up for coffee every now and then.”
Mr O’Callaghan also believed a positive persona and the ability to keep the brain active with other educational tools was a key to success.
“I believe enthusiasm is infectious so I want my colleagues and my clients to feel the passion and come on the journey with me,” he said.
“I love travelling to the Mediterranean to lay on the beach and visit ancient sites when I can. As well as studying for my real estate license, I’m studying postgraduate ancient Greek language, just to keep the brain active.
“I hope the life experience will make me a great mentor in the future.”
Ray White Commercial NSW – Sydney City Fringe Principals Kristian Morris and Justin Rose said they were happy to have Mr O’Callaghan as part of the team.
