The RateMyAgent 2017 Agent of the Year Award winners were been announced this morning, recognising those agents and agencies who have been the most consistently recommended in the system by their customers in 2016.
Taking out the national title of Agent of the Year for Australia is Victorian based agent, Tim Heavyside, of Fletchers Canterbury, Victoria; while Phillips Pantzer and Donnelly based in Sydney’s eastern suburbs took the award for Australian Agency of the Year award.
Heavyside, who has been with Fletchers since 2003, made the move from travel agent to real estate agent after Traveland collapsed in 2001. He has been recognised as Fletcher’s top agent for 11 consecutive years and attributes his success to always displaying kindness, professionalism and respect.
“In any sales role, your job is to serve others and listen, but when you’re selling someone’s home or investment property, you go deeper into their life,” said Heavyside.
Meanwhile, Sydney-based agency, Phillips Pantzer and Donnelly has taken the agency of the year award. Established in 2013 by three of Sydney’s eastern suburb’s most respected agents, the agency has gone from strength to strength, selling in excess of $936 million worth of property in 2016.
Professionalism has led to a great deal of repeat business for the agency. According to one review on ratemyagent.com.au “Alex Phillips and his team are the ultimate professionals in the real estate industry. We’ve bought and sold with Alex a number of times over recent years and every time the same thing has him standing head and shoulders above his peers – he is obsessive about real estate and everything it encompasses!”
