Two Mandurah real estate agents have taken over leadership of Professionals Mandurah, marking a new chapter for the brand in Western Australia’s Peel region.
Vicki Bredendeck and Sharon Anderson, who previously worked together at the office under former principal Laurie Hird, have reunited as co-principals after pursuing separate careers in the local market following his retirement.
The pair said they initially considered launching independently before opting to return to the Professionals network.
“At first, we looked at starting the business independently, but the support, marketing power and reputation of the Professionals brand made it the right fit for us,” Vicki said.
“You’re not just another number within the group. Every member contributes to making the brand stronger, and there’s genuine collaboration and support between offices.”
Mandurah has recorded some of Western Australia’s highest capital appreciation rates, according to PropTrack data, with investor activity and rental demand driving market strength.
Vicki said the conditions present opportunities but warned against short-term thinking.
“Properties are achieving strong results, but for us, it’s never about making a quick sale. It’s about offering a high level of service, doing the best thing for the client and building long-term trust,” she said.
“Sharon and I are building the business with longevity, rather than chasing short-term market conditions. There are always new agencies popping up when the market is strong, but we’ve both worked through the tougher cycles.”
Sharon said the rental market and investor activity are creating momentum for the new office.
“The rental market is incredibly strong, and there’s still a very active investor market in Mandurah, which is creating a lot of opportunity for growth,” she said.
“We’re already seeing strong word-of-mouth referrals from previous clients, and we’re building relationships with other Professionals offices as well.”
Professionals CEO Sean Hanneberry said Western Australia remains one of the brand’s strongest markets.
“Professionals has a deep history and strong community presence across Western Australia, and Mandurah has been an important part of our history and presence in the state,” Sean said.
“Their combined expertise across sales and property management, along with their strong community connections, positions them for long-term success.”
