OBrien Real Estate has marked 10 years as major sponsor of the Carrum Coast Guard Fun Run, with this year’s event setting records for both participation and fundraising.
The annual run, held on 22 February along the Patterson River, attracted 844 runners across 6km and 12km courses.
More than 1,000 people took part or lined the route on the day.
The event raised more than $29,000 for the Carrum Coast Guard – a record for the fun run. The funds will go towards equipment, training, and operations for the volunteer service, which supports the local boating and coastal community.
OBrien Real Estate first partnered with the Coast Guard in 2016. Staff from the agency were on site for this year’s event.
The fun run has become a fixture for Melbourne’s bayside south-east community, drawing participants of all ages and fitness levels each year.
