NSW GEM Award winners announced

First National Real Estate’s NSW estate agents celebrated a year of success at their General Excellence and Marketing Awards on Saturday night.

The awards recognised the outcomes achieved by the state’s agents throughout 2019, with top 10 individuals and offices now vying for National GEM Awards, which are announced in May.

Agents reaching the national top 10 will be invited to participate in First National’s complimentary study tour to the National Association of Realtors conference, which takes place in New Orleans this November.

NSW State Chairman, Greg Taylor said First National Real Estate is focused on a standard of excellence that puts customers first.

“We deliver the things that customers value most. Regular communication, quality advice, industry leading marketing and timely results,” Mr Taylor said.

“When agents bring these things together effectively, our customers get the results they seek, as do our agents and property managers’

On the night, NSW Sales Office of the Year was awarded to First National Real Estate Newcastle City.

The Top 10 offices included:

1. First National Newcastle City (The Junction) – NSW Sales Office of the Year
2. First National Byron Bay
3. First National Daystar (Revesby)
4. First National Hunters Hill, Gladesville, Ryde
5. First National North Western (Stanhope Gardens)
6. First National Hills Direct (The Ponds)
7. First National Wal Murray & Co (Lismore)
8. First National Batemans Bay
9. First National Forster-Tuncurry
10. First National Walsh & Sullivan (Baulkham Hills)

The Top 10 NSW Property Management Departments were:

1. First National Walsh & Sullivan (Baulkham Hills) – NSW Property Management Department of the Year
2. First National Hills Direct (The Ponds)
3. First National Daystar (Revesby)
4. First National Hunters Hill, Gladesville, Ryde
5. First National Stanton & Taylor (Penrith)
6. First National Mudgee
7. First National Westpoint (Horsley Park)
8. First National Coastwide (Wyong)
9. First National Port Macquarie
10. First National Yamba

Simon Boroudjani of First National Regency Realty (Chatswood) was named NSW Commercial Property Manager of the Year, and Michael Taylor of First National Stanton & Taylor was named NSW Residential Property Manager of the Year.

The Top 10 NSW salespeople included:

1. George Rafty, First National Newcastle City (The Junction) NSW Salesperson of the Year (2nd consecutive year)
2. Michael Sleiman, First National Daystar (Revesby)
3. Ruma Mundi, First National North Western (Stanhope Gardens)
4. Jacinta Purvis, First National Bathurst
5. Tara Torkkola, First National Byron Bay
6. Su Reynolds, First National Byron Bay
7. Robert Younis, First National West Ryde
8. Luke Murdoch, First National Newcastle City
9. Robert Bagala, First National Hunters Hill, Gladesville, Ryde
10. Paul Davis, First National Daystar (Revesby)

A range of specialist awards were also announced, with:

NSW Sales Rookie of the Year being awarded to Rachael Griffin from First National Brailey (Figtree), and NSW Property Manager Rookie of the Year being awarded to Kaitlin Crowe from First National David Haggarty (Maitland).

Other specialist awards included:

  • Administrator of the Year – Amanda Meikle, First National Hills Direct
  • Receptionist of the Year – Sharon Wilson, First National Nowra
