New Ray White office opens in Marsden

With deep connections in the local community, Avi Khan is excited to be moving into business ownership and opening a Ray White office to service the Marsden community.

His business has a new location with a new team of experienced agents and an invigorated approach in Marsden.

“I am very active in this community and I am so excited to be opening my own business,” said the former lawyer turned IT specialist with experience in software automation.

Ray White Queensland CEO Tony Warland said it was great to know the Marsden community were in such good hands with Avi Khan and Simon Loo and their team.

“I have known Avi for a few years and I know he is the right person to lead his team in Marsden and become the agent of choice to all the local homeowners in this area,” Mr Warland said.

“Growth is the oxygen for a business like ours and I know Avi will do well in Marsden. This community is in such a good growth corridor, known for its affordable housing stock and investment potential.

“The Ray White corporate team will help and support Avi now and into the future.”

Mr Khan practised law for several years before moving into automation software,  travelling around Australia doing different projects for big multinational firms.

“When we had our first child I decided now was the time to stop living out of a suitcase and I moved into real estate and I have never looked back,” Mr Khan said.

“I started in sales and in my second year I reached premier sales level. I have been working at Ray White Beenleigh and Logan City for the past two years but I know in my heart that now is the right time to step out on my own.”

Mr Khan said Marsden was a growth area, and very popular with investors for its 6-7 per cent yields and developers for average block sizes ranging from 900sq m to 1500sq m.

“There’s a lot of mum and dad developers in Marsden which makes it ripe for subdividing and building developments. There’s a lot of that going on.

“People see great value in the Logan City Council area, it’s affordable for first home buyers and investors who want good rental yields.”

Mr Khan was named the Rate My Agent Marsden agent of the year in 2017 for his high level of sales and customer service.

Mr Khan runs the local Facebook community page in which he posts local events and small business advertisements, by putting himself at the heart of the community.

Logan City Councillor Jon Raven said he was excited to see Mr Khan stepping into business ownership.

“I’ve known him for nearly two years now and he’s a great guy. Community isn’t something that just happens. It needs good people to encourage it, to work on it and to make sure it thrives and I see Avi doing that all the time,” Cr Raven said.

“When a business is community-focused it is well supported, so I’m confident he’ll do well.”
