New marketplace boosting vendor confidence

REA Group’s property research destination,, has today launched a new consumer marketplace aimed at removing barriers for buyers and sellers.

Research shows 1.6 million Australian homeowners consider selling each year but two-thirds of those don’t follow through.

The alignment of the sale of an existing property and the purchase of the next remains the biggest concern for sellers.

Leveraging the capability of external partners, the new property marketplace offers financial products designed to boost vendor confidence around that alignment with a focus on support around buying before selling and buying before settling.

The experience is centred on address searches and offers the full picture on every property, whether it is for sale or not.

Consumers can access the new marketplace through the homepage and any of the 15 million detailed property pages on site.
