Million Dollar Listing’s Josh Flagg has made a surprising move from Rodeo Realty to Douglas Elliman, according to TheRealDeal.
Top agent and reality TV star Josh Flagg is one of the biggest luxury brokers in Los Angeles.
According to the publication, the move is a major coup for Elliman, as the agency has been increasing its presence in California and Texas in particular, as well as numerous West Coast states.
Elliman is known in the US as a longtime East Coast powerhouse. The agency opened in Los Angeles back in 2014 in Beverly Hills and now has more than a dozen offices in California. Elliman also opened its doors in Texas earlier this year and has started to establish a presence in Colorado as well.
It is unclear whether Mr Flagg will bring his current team with him to the new agency.
However, the reports of the move came from an unnamed source and have not been confirmed Mr Flagg or Elliman.
Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles is set to return to Binge next month, with a 90-minute premiere focusing on the city’s property market boom amid the pandemic.
Mr Flagg will return for the next season, along with Josh Altman, Tracy Tutor, James Harris and David Parnes. Million Dollar Listing New York star Fredrik Eklund was also confirmed to be joining the Los Angeles cast.
The show first aired in the US in 2006 and Mr Flagg is an original cast member.
Mr Flagg’s website reports he has sold well over $2 billion worth of property and is among the top five real estate agents in Los Angeles.
Mr Flagg has represented the likes of many American billionaire families such as the Gettys and Debartolos. He has also sold homes to the likes of Adam Levine, Katy Perry, Shonda Rhimes and Steve Aoki.
His record-selling achievements include the sale of Los Angeles socialite Betsy Bloomingdale’s Holmby Hills estate for US$40 million as well as the two highest priced pieces of land in the 500 block of Beverly Hills history.
