McGrath Crows Nest expands into Willoughby

Jason Georges believes Crows Nest is part of his heritage, having been born and raised in the area, so will bring extensive market knowledge to the team.

The Announcement:

Top-tier industry performer Peter Chauncy has welcomed Jason Georges to his McGrath Crows Nest team. Bringing 10 years’ experience in Lower North Shore sales, Mr Georges will concentrate on the highly prized Willoughby market.

Mr Chauncy believes the demand for property in the Willoughby to Crows Nest area will continue to increase. In the past year, Willoughby’s median house price has climbed 25 per cent to $3.46 million.

“The accessibility to shopping and dining precincts, public and private schools, the city and parks keeps drawing buyers,” said Mr Chauncy.

While families occupy 73 per cent of Willoughby’s households, the suburb and surrounding neighbourhoods continue to attract a diversity of buyers.

“The area is buzzing with interest from executives favouring proximity to the city, downsizers migrating from the Upper North Shore and young families from Mosman, the Eastern suburbs and Inner West who love the parks and easy access to schools,” he added.

Mr Georges feels at home in the area.

“This is my heritage,” he said, having been born and raised in Naremburn.

“I’ve always been in and around the area and I watched Peter [Chauncy] sell just about every house in Naremburn so I decided I’d focus on Willoughby instead,” he laughed, “and I’ve never looked back!”

“I keep in touch with my clients both past and present, sharing significant market updates.

They can trust their agent knows everything they need to know about the area; what’s on the market, what’s sold and what’s coming up. It’s not always about an immediate sale; it’s about being top of their minds five or 10 years from now when they’re ready to transact.”

Mr Georges took the approach that deep product knowledge would benefit his clients, both sellers and buyers.

“I know Willoughby’s streets, I know the people, I know the businesses and I know the current value of a property at any given phase of the market,” he said.

“Coupling this knowledge with the reputation Peter and his team have earned, I feel I’m in the right place with the right calibre of people.”

Mr Chauncy said Jason Georges is, “an amazing fit for an already amazing team”.

He expects Mr Georges’ arrival to boost the $500 million in sales transactions McGrath Crows Nest achieved in the past financial year.

“Jason is a very experienced, established agent; one of the rising names in the industry,” said Mr Chauncy.

“His average days-on-market sits at 10. Without question he will be one of the best performing agents in McGrath’s Lower North Shore network.”
