Australia’s leading luxury home rental brand, Luxico, is raising the bar on high-end travel with the launch of its exclusive members-only program — just as it prepares to star in the upcoming television series Billion Dollar Playground, premiering on BINGE on 13 May 2025.
By unveiling its new membership offering, Luxico is “redefining the luxury holiday rental experience,” blending five-star hotel-style services with the privacy, warmth, and authenticity of Australia’s most spectacular homes.
“At Luxico, we’ve seen an increasing demand for homes that blend architectural beauty with tailored guest experiences, offering a seamless intersection of comfort and culture,” said co-founder Alexandra Ormerod.
The new membership program introduces two bespoke tiers: Stay Beautiful and Stay Exclusive.
Stay Beautiful is designed for frequent travellers who “value flexibility and thoughtful perks during their holiday stays,” while Stay Exclusive delivers a fully tailored experience with access to private villas, in-home staffing, and curated experiences “that redefines what a holiday can be.”
Co-founders Tom and Alexandra Ormerod created Luxico in 2013 after realising traditional holiday rentals often fell short of expectations.
“We envisioned something better — a world where a curated home came with five-star service, a stocked fridge, and someone to greet you at the door,” Alexandra said.
Since then, Luxico has grown into Australia’s leading luxury villa rental platform, representing the country’s largest portfolio of architecturally exquisite homes across top destinations like Byron Bay, Mornington Peninsula, and the Sunshine Coast.
Luxury travel, Alexandra explained, has changed dramatically over the past five years.
“High-end travellers are no longer just seeking opulent accommodations — they want meaningful, curated experiences that reflect their personal values, such as sustainability, exclusivity, and authenticity.”
For today’s ultra-high-net-worth travellers, personalisation and privacy are paramount.
“They want homes that feel like a sanctuary, with features like private pools, wellness spaces, and expansive outdoor areas,” said Tom Ormerod.
“Sustainability is also becoming a key consideration, with guests preferring properties that incorporate eco-friendly practices.”
At the heart of Luxico’s offering is the concept of “quiet luxury,” which Alexandra defined as “understated elegance and authenticity. It’s not about flaunting wealth but rather about enjoying refined, thoughtful details that enhance the experience.”
The company’s new members-only model is intended to raise the standard across the luxury short-stay market.
“By curating a network of high-quality guests and offering exclusive deals and upgrades, we’re ensuring that properties are well-cared for and guests receive unparalleled service,” Alexandra said.
“This approach fosters trust and loyalty, setting a new standard for luxury travel.”
Meanwhile, Billion Dollar Playground will give viewers a behind-the-scenes glimpse into this world of spectacular private homes and bespoke service.
“What sets it apart is its focus on the human element — showcasing not just the properties but also the people who create, manage, and enjoy these incredible spaces,” said Alexandra.
“It’s an inspiring blend of architectural beauty, lifestyle aspirations, and the art of creating unforgettable travel experiences.”
From Michelin-starred chefs and private fireworks displays to curated wellness retreats, Luxico’s approach to luxury travel is deeply personal — and, in the eyes of its founders, just getting started.By blending architectural integrity, authentic service, and thoughtful design, Luxico is “future-proofing” the luxury home rental market, one remarkable stay at a time.
