LongView Real Estate wins REIV's top agency award

LongView Real Estate has taken out Large Residential Agency of the Year at the Real Estate Institute of Victoria’s (REIV) Awards for Excellence 2026.

The agency topped a finalist field that included McGrath Clayton, A Real Property Hawthorn, Woodards Manningham, Jellis Craig Eastern Group, Wilson Property and Nelson Alexander Fitzroy at the ceremony on 22 October.

The win comes in the REIV’s 90th anniversary year, with the Institute reporting a record number of award submissions.

Other agency category winners included Bricks & Mortar, named Small Residential Agency of the Year, Cushman & Wakefield Agency (VIC), which took Commercial Agency of the Year, Ray White Mildura, named Regional Agency of the Year, and Garry Nash Real Estate, which won the Community Service Award.

Among individual winners, Tonya Davidson of Davidson Property Advocates took out Buyer’s Agent of the Year for the fourth time, following previous wins in 2022, 2023 and 2024.

Storyhouse claimed both Residential Marketing Award categories, for campaigns above and below $10,000, despite the business only launching earlier this year.

Other agent award winners included Sahil Bhasin of Bricks & Mortar, named Residential Salesperson of the Year, Greg Brydon of Apollo Auctions, named Senior Auctioneer of the Year, Joseph Tilley of Barry Plant, named Novice Auctioneer of the Year, Vittorio Galli of Facey Property, named Commercial Property Manager of the Year, and Tom Noonan of Jones Lang LaSalle (VIC) Pty, named Commercial Salesperson of the Year.

The 2026 REIV President’s Award went to Leah Calnan, recognising her contribution to Victoria’s real estate sector, including her leadership during the COVID-19 lockdowns.

As REIV President in 2019 and 2020, Leah prioritised timely communication and member engagement through that period, and has continued that focus through ongoing work in education and professional development for Victorian real estate professionals.

REIV CEO Toby Balazs said the record number of entries reflected the strength, professionalism and depth of talent across the state’s real estate industry.

“The sector is operating in a challenging environment, with changing market conditions, cost pressures and an increasingly complex regulatory landscape. Against that backdrop, the professionalism, resilience and innovation shown by this year’s finalists and winners is particularly impressive,”
Toby said.

Most of the 2026 REIV Awards for Excellence winners will progress to the REIA National Awards for Excellence, to be held on the Gold Coast in June 2027.
