Owners Damian and Rebecca Montgomery have a long history with the iconic real estate brand, having helped establish LJ Hooker Toukley in 2004 before acquiring LJ Hooker Budgewoi in 2020.
The couple merged both offices in 2022 to better serve the growing market.
The new premises, located in the heart of beachside Budgewoi, marks an exciting new chapter for the business as it undergoes renovations to create a modern office space.
“We are so proud of our new premises, located right in the heart of beachside Budgewoi, which will start an exciting new chapter for the business,” Mrs Montgomery said.
“We’re currently working through council approvals for an exciting renovation that will transform the space into a fresh, modern office designed to reflect the professionalism of our team and the vibrant coastal community we serve.”
The Central Coast continues to attract a diverse range of buyers including families, retirees, and investors drawn by the region’s lifestyle, growing economy, and proximity to Sydney.
Head of Network Australia, Chris Keating, highlighted the importance of the Central Coast to LJ Hooker’s strategy, noting its affordability and potential to deliver housing options.
The brand already maintains offices in Gosford and Terrigal, with an increasing presence extending north to the Hunter Valley and Lake Macquarie regions.
“The Central Coast offers something for everyone, delivering affordability for first home buyers to multimillion-dollar luxury beachfront mansions, and its growth potential is massive, making it a key market for us,” Mr Keating said.
He said that the Montgomerys’ local expertise and community commitment make them ideal franchise partners.
“Damian and Rebecca are long-term locals who have detailed first-hand knowledge area and are passionate about growing their business and their community.”
The move to new premises represents a strategic step in a competitive market, providing additional operational space while increasing brand visibility in the area.
The Montgomerys joined LJ Hooker after previously working with a local independent agency, attracted by the brand’s franchise support, broader reach, and innovative tools.
“What attracted us to the brand was that it allowed us to serve our local community but still have our own personal touch,” Mrs Montgomery said.
“It means we can offer the power and innovation of a national brand while building genuine relationships with our clients, delivering honest advice and utilising technology to achieve outstanding results.”
The Central Coast’s appeal continues to grow with infrastructure improvements including the completed $348 million Gosford Hospital redevelopment and ongoing M1 motorway upgrades enhancing connectivity to Sydney and Newcastle.
The region’s property market offers diverse opportunities beyond just sales, with strong rental demand making it attractive for investors.
“Investors appreciate the strong rental yields, low vacancy rates and growth potential, while the strong sense of community makes it a desirable location for long-term renters,” Mr Montgomery said.
“So, it is a market not just focused on sales, but with strong interest from tenants and investors, we are also keen to continue to expand the rent roll side of the business.”
“Moving into prominent new premises is an exciting and strategic step in a competitive market. It will provide space for operations, client meetings and importantly further increase brand visibility,” Mr Keating said.
