After 22 years behind the microphone on Illawarra breakfast radio, Marty Haynes is making a career change – into real estate.

Marty will join Ray White Five Islands Group, a new venture launched by Daniel and Jennifer Norris, who also operate Ray White Dapto and Horsley.

“Graham Kennedy always taught me to go out on a high,” Marty said.

“After 22 years on the breakfast program, I wanted a new challenge. I’ve known Daniel and his family for years; I trust their vision and the strength of the Ray White brand.”

Marty started his media career as a cameraman for Channel 9, working under Kennedy, before becoming a fixture of local radio. He’s also the founder of the Illawarra Convoy, which has raised more than $30 million for local families.

“Real estate is about people and community – two things I’ve dedicated my life to,” he said.

The new business will focus on off-the-plan sales and house and land packages, with Daniel describing it as the beginning of a 10 to 15-year strategy targeting land releases across the Illawarra region.

Ray White NSW/ACT CEO Tim Snell said bringing Marty into the network reflected the strength of Daniel and Jennifer’s leadership.

“Marty’s name is synonymous with integrity and the Illawarra spirit,” Tim said.

“By combining his deep-rooted local connection with the scale and technology of the Ray White brand, the Five Islands Group is positioned to offer a level of trust and reach that is simply unmatched in the local market.”
