James Navin joins The Agency Central Coast

The high level of market activity on the NSW Central Coast is attracting significant talent to the area, including experienced former local agent James Navin.

Mr Navin is returning to the region after several successful years working in Sydney to take up a role at The Agency.

“I worked in Terrigal for about 16 years,” Mr Navin told Elite Agent.

“I’ve got friends and family on the Central Coast, that’s where they’re all based, so it’s great to be returning.”

As Elite Agent reported earlier this week, The Agency’s NSW Central Coast team has broken six suburb records in the past two months

The local property market has been booming as people seek lifestyle changes, greater value for money and investment opportunities.

The Agency’s Chief Executive Officer Matt Lahood described Mr Navin as “an outstanding talent” and said he was honoured that he chose to take up a position with the group.

“Along with the strength of James’s local network, knowledge and experience, we are excited to have someone of James’s high professional standards join our growing operation,” Mr Lahood said.

“The team is going from strength to strength and achieving some extraordinary results.”

Mr Navin brings 18 years of experience to his role with The Agency working across residential sales, project sales and property management. He already has strong ties with The Agency team, including Group Chief Executive Officer Geoff Lucas.

“I have personally purchased properties through James Navin,” Mr Lucas said. “He is an impressive agent and I am delighted to see him join The Agency Central Coast.”

Returning home

Mr Navin grew up on the Central Coast and spent more than a decade of his career in the area, before relocating to Sydney a little over two years ago.

He described The Agency’s leadership team – headed by Mr Lahood and Mr Lucas – as “the best in the business” and said he was keen to access the strength of its national network, training programs and premium marketing.

“I made the move to The Agency Central Coast as I see them as a team sharing core values that match my own – integrity, honesty, reliability and hard work… to name a few,” Mr Navin said.

“They are at the forefront of technology and are going through a tremendous growth phase that I want to be a part of.”

Mr Navin said he and his family were motivated to return to the Central Coast due to the attractive lifestyle benefits of the region.

“It’s good to have the contrast,” he said.

“I love Sydney, and I’ve met some amazing people – and worked with some even more amazing people – but I guess from a lifestyle point of view, getting back to here, you can’t beat it.”

He also added that the NorthConnex roadway had transformed the drive to Sydney.

“I think the Central Coast is going through a tremendous growth period,” Mr Navin said.

“Things are just going absolutely gangbusters and I think obviously with the whole COVID thing and people having to work from home [during lockdown], employers have realised people don’t need to be in the office all the time.

“Like in other regional areas, COVID has shown people do not need to work in a city office five days a week, and this has resulted in people being able to move to lifestyle locations.

“I believe this will continue for the foreseeable future.”

Mr Navin said he was excited to be returning home to the Central Coast with The Agency and can’t wait to provide his clients with the most memorable customer service experience.

“It’s about the whole experience, start to finish. From signing the agreement to settlement day, I am with the client the whole way,”  Mr Navin said.

“In most cases it is a person’s biggest financial asset and it can be regarded as one of the most emotional and stressful experiences a person can go through.

“My aim is to make that experience as stress free and smooth as it can be.”
