Hasbro CEO’s Beverly Hills mansion sells for $18.8 million

A Beverly Hills mansion owned by the late Hasbro CEO Brian Goldner has sold for $18.8 million (AUD$28.3 million), marking a significant discount from its original $27 million (AUD$40.7 million) asking price.

The nearly 7,500-square-foot traditional-style home, located in the prestigious Flats neighbourhood of Beverly Hills, was purchased by an international ultra-high-net-worth individual after being relisted at $21.5 million (AUD$32.4 million) according to Mansion Global.

The property was sold by a trust tied to Goldner’s wife, Barbara, who had purchased the home with her husband in March 2020 for just under $18 million (AUD$27.1 million).

Brian Goldner, who served as Hasbro’s CEO from 2008 until his death in October 2021 at age 58, was also known for his role as executive producer of the “Transformers” movie franchise.

The mansion underwent an extensive four-year renovation by renowned interior designer Michael S. Smith, who previously redesigned the White House’s residential quarters and Oval Office during President Barack Obama’s administration.

Barbara Goldner invested millions in the redesign, adding luxury details throughout the property including a Calacatta Viola marble fireplace, hand-painted Gracie wallpaper, and a 19th-century Spanish crystal chandelier.

The home features five bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms, with a primary suite that includes its own sitting room, dry sauna, fireplace, private terrace, and two bathrooms with radiant heated floors.

The property’s outdoor amenities include a pool and spa surrounded by tall privacy hedges, a built-in barbecue area, and a guest house currently configured as a gym.
