Domonic joins Harcourts Australia from Macquarie Business Banking, where he currently serves as Head of Residential Real Estate, following an almost 20-year career with the organisation across both Perth and Brisbane.
Set to commence with Harcourts later this month, Domonic said the move was driven by both a strong connection to the Harcourts network and a belief in the opportunities ahead for the real estate industry.
“Over many years working alongside Harcourts offices across the country, I’ve seen first-hand the calibre, integrity and culture that exists throughout the network,” Domonic said.
“What stood out to me most was the genuine family-based approach Harcourts has built – something that is increasingly rare and incredibly valuable in today’s environment.”
Having spent almost two decades working alongside the property sector from a banking perspective, Domonic said he sees significant opportunity for the industry to evolve and adapt in the years ahead.
“Real estate is entering a period of enormous transformation, whether it’s technology, AI, regulation, changing consumer expectations or the way businesses operate,” he said.
“I’ve had the privilege of working closely with agencies of all sizes across Australia, seeing first-hand what works, what doesn’t, and where the opportunities exist to help businesses grow and adapt.”
Domonic said the opportunity to help shape the next chapter of Harcourts Australia was a major factor in his decision to take on the role.
“A role like this allows me to help raise the bar for the industry through a conduit as respected as Harcourts,” he said.
“I’m incredibly excited to work with the network and help our offices across Residential, NAI and Nutrien continue to evolve, grow and deliver the finest experience in real estate.”
Adrian Knowles, CEO of Harcourts Australia, said Domonic’s experience, leadership style and deep understanding of the industry made him an outstanding addition to the business.
“Domonic brings an incredibly rare combination of strategic insight, operational experience and genuine passion for the real estate industry,” Adrian said.
“Having worked alongside agencies across the country for many years, he understands the opportunities and challenges facing our industry at a very deep level.”
Adrian said Domonic’s values and approach strongly aligned with Harcourts’ culture and long-term vision.
“Beyond his professional experience, Domonic is someone who genuinely cares about people, relationships and helping others succeed,” he said.
“That alignment with our culture made this a very natural fit, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the Harcourts family.”
Outside of his professional career, Domonic is passionate about mental health awareness and has served as a board member for the RISE Initiative for the past four years.
He lives in Brisbane with his wife Kimberley and their two young children, Oscar and Isla.
The appointment forms part of Harcourts Australia’s continued focus on strengthening leadership capability and supporting long-term growth across its national network.
