Movers and Shakers

Chandan Sharma moves to Raine & Horne

Prominent agent Chandan Sharma has moved to Raine & Horne and will operate from a new office in Bella Vista as he looks to leverage the group’s technology edge.ย

The Announcement:

Chandan Sharma, a prominent figure in northwestern Sydney real estate circles, is joining forces with Raine & Horne to take over the brandโ€™s operations in Bella Vista.

With a wealth of experience spanning more than seven years, with other real estate brands and as a founding director of a boutique group that had seven offices nationally and 50 agents, Mr Sharmaโ€™s decision to align with the rapidly expanding Raine & Horne brand underscores his commitment to excellence and innovation in the industry.

Having established himself as a respected real estate leader, Mr Sharma cites the rich history and legacy of Raine & Horne as a driving force behind his decision to join the brand.

โ€œI was attracted to the Raine & Horne brand because of its history,โ€ Mr Sharma said.

โ€œWith over 140 years in real estate and the fact that the Raine Family is into its fourth generation at the helm is testament to the groupโ€™s enduring commitment to excellence.โ€

Mr Sharma, who has won 14 national awards for sales and property management from his previous group since 2017, further underscored the dynamic leadership of Angus Raine, Executive Chairman of Raine & Horne, highlighting his industry expertise and visionary approach to real estate.

โ€œAngus Raine is a well-respected figure in the industry and is a great leader,โ€ Mr Sharma said.

โ€œAs part of my due diligence, I looked carefully at the leader who is running the company, and with Raine & Horne, I like what I see.โ€

With a focus on leveraging cutting-edge technology to stay ahead of the curve, Mr Sharma notes Raine & Horneโ€™s strategic investment in technology as a critical factor in his decision to leave his old group.

โ€œRaine & Horne is outstanding with the ecosystem of technology that it has developed, such as the AI-powered social media marketing platform Amplify and the online appraisal tool, DigiKitPlus,โ€ he said.

โ€œThey have invested heavily, which is why they are ahead of the game with technology and are a company I want to work with.โ€

Mr Sharma has found the onboarding process with Raine & Horne seamless, and he commends the corporate team for their support and guidance.

โ€œThe onboarding has been terrific, and my business and support managers, Celeste Kopps and Lochlan Grahame, have been brilliant,โ€ he said.

They have provided steadfast support, offering extensive training in their industry-leading products, such as Amplify and DigiKitPlus, to get us up and running swiftly and seamlessly.โ€

Operating from a brand-new office in the heart of Bella Vistaโ€™s business park precinct, Mr Sharma, who lives in Kellyville, and his team are poised to impact Sydneyโ€™s thriving Hills District.ย

โ€œIt was a very big decision for me to leave that legacy and success behind that I had built with my old group,โ€ he said.

“But I wanted to be with a bigger brand, learn about a different kind of culture, and meet different people and industry experts.

โ€œAnd recently, I found that brand power truly works.

โ€œAs part of the old group, weโ€™d conducted around 60 to 80 appraisals and only had a few listings wins.

โ€œWe lost out to the bigger brands.

โ€œSo that was another major reason for the switch to Raine & Horne.โ€

With a dedicated team and a strategic focus on sales and growth, Mr Sharma outlines his goals for Raine & Horne Bella Vista.

โ€œFirst and foremost, the priority for me is more appraisals, listings and sales and telling vendors that Iโ€™m with a bigger brand, Raine & Horne,โ€ he said.

โ€œWe chose the Bella Vista market as we also want to sell properties in the Hillโ€™s newest suburb, Gables, and nearby Box Hill, where I have been selling properties since 2017.

โ€œFour-bedroom family homes are selling in these suburbs for between $1.5 million – $2 million, and we are going to focus here as we know the area and the community inside out.โ€

Mr Sharma will also welcome an experienced property manager to the business at the end of April.

โ€œBuilding the rental roll will be a major focus for Raine & Horne Bella Vista,โ€ he said.
