Toronto Blue Jays outfielder George Springer has listed his Georgian colonial home in one of the city’s most affluent neighbourhoods for C$6.445 million (approximately AUD$7.2 million).

The five-bedroom property in Lawrence Park hit the market this week through SAGE Real Estate, with agents Jason and Krystle Fata handling the listing.

According to Mansion Global, George and his wife Charlise purchased the home in January 2022 for C$6.43 million (AUD$7.18 million), roughly a year after he signed his six-year, US$150 million (AUD$237 million) contract with the Blue Jays.

Built in 2005, the 5,300-square-foot home underwent extensive renovations in 2019.

The redesign introduced contemporary elements to the classic interiors, with bold marble and stone accents featuring throughout the kitchen, bathrooms and around the home’s fireplaces.

The primary suite occupies its own wing on the upper floor, with vaulted ceilings exceeding 12 feet, a fireplace, reading corner and custom dressing room.

A finished lower level includes a recreational room currently configured as a movie room, though the agents note it would suit a home gym.

George, a four-time All-Star, was instrumental in the Blue Jays’ World Series appearance last year, hitting a three-run home run in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series to secure the pennant against the Seattle Mariners.

He previously won a World Series title and MVP with the Houston Astros.
