REA Group has announced the appointment of Andrew Cramer as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective February 12, 2026, following the retirement of current CFO Janelle Hopkins.
Ms Hopkins has decided to retire after seven years with REA Group to transition to a non-executive career, concluding a distinguished executive career spanning over 25 years.
During her tenure at REA, Ms Hopkins played a pivotal role in delivering the successful growth of the company while ensuring financial strength and disciplined capital management.
REA Group Chief Executive Officer Cameron McIntyre acknowledged her significant contributions to the business.
“Even in my short time at REA, it’s clear to me the significant impact Janelle has made on the business,” Mr McIntyre said.
“As CFO, she has ensured our financial strength and disciplined capital management while helping drive a period of transformative growth.
“Her decision to embark on a non-executive career represents an exciting new opportunity, and we wish her every success in the years ahead.”
Ms Hopkins expressed gratitude for her time with the company.
“Serving as REA Group’s CFO has been a privilege, and I’ve greatly valued working alongside a remarkable team,” Ms Hopkins said.
“Together, we’ve built an exceptional business and I’m proud of what we’ve achieved for our customers and shareholders.
“I am excited about the next chapter of my career.”
Mr Cramer joins REA Group from News Corp in New York where he currently serves as Deputy CFO, overseeing the company’s commercial finance activities and operations globally.
In his role at News Corp, which he joined in 2019, Mr Cramer has been responsible for corporate development, treasury, and business partnering, playing an integral role in the transformation of the company’s portfolio.
Prior to News Corp, he spent over a decade at Macquarie and Citi, where he helped build and ultimately lead Citi’s Investment Banking coverage business for Technology, Media and Telecommunications across Australia and New Zealand.
Mr McIntyre welcomed Mr Cramer to the REA Group executive team.
“We are delighted to welcome Andrew as REA Group’s new Chief Financial Officer,” Mr McIntyre said.
“He brings extensive global experience, strong financial expertise and a strategic perspective that will be invaluable as we continue to grow and deliver for our customers, shareholders and team.
“Andrew has a strong collaborative style, and I look forward to working with him as part of our Executive Leadership Team.”
Ms Hopkins will continue to be available after she steps down to provide support and ensure a seamless transition.
