Leading Ladies of Real Estate and Ray White Queensland have announced the inaugural Pink Tie Gala, a seated three-course dinner, live entertainment and charity auction at The Star Brisbane on Saturday 30 May 2026, with all proceeds directed to The Lady Musgrave Trust, Queensland’s oldest charity.

The scale of the crisis is stark. On any given night, nearly 14,000 Queensland women are sleeping rough, in crisis accommodation, or on the edge of losing their home entirely, driven from stability by domestic and family violence, financial hardship and a housing market that continues to push the most vulnerable further out.

The Trust currently houses around 50 women and children across its supported accommodation each night, a fraction of those who need it.

Established in 1885, the Trust has helped nearly 15,000 women and children transition from crisis to independence across 141 years of operation, without ongoing, recurrent government funding.

Buoyed by Queensland Government project grants and community generosity, it is preparing to break ground on 14 new homes in Ipswich in August 2026, a project that will effectively double the nights of safe accommodation it provides, to approximately 24,000 per year from December 2027.

Pipeline projects on the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast signal further ambition, as the Trust works toward a future where every Queensland woman who needs a safe home can find one.

Haesley Cush, CEO of Ray White Collective and the evening’s auctioneer, says the event was a natural expression of what the real estate industry does best and what it stands for.

“Real estate is a relationship industry built on trust, and at its heart, it’s about people and the homes they call their own. When an industry that touches so many lives comes together with a single purpose, the impact can be extraordinary.

“The Pink Tie Gala is that moment, a chance for our community to put its collective weight behind one of the most pressing issues in Queensland. I’m proud to be part of it, and I can’t wait to see what we raise on the night.”

Sally Patch, Queensland Chair of Leading Ladies of Real Estate, says the decision to rally the industry behind the cause was instinctive.

“As professionals who work every day to help people find homes and set them up for a happy future, we know better than most that a safe home is the foundation of a better life. Our Leading Ladies community is about bringing women together to inspire, empower and champion one another, through confidence, education and financial independence.

“The Lady Musgrave Trust has been doing exactly that for vulnerable women for over 140 years. We are proud to put the full weight of our community behind their work.”

Victoria Parker, CEO of The Lady Musgrave Trust, says the partnership represents a powerful alignment of purpose.

“The Pink Tie Gala is more than an event, it is a catalyst for raising hope, deepening awareness and creating tangible change.

“The number of women without a safe place to sleep tonight won’t decrease without action, and that action requires serious funding. All profits raised go directly toward changing that reality for women and children who have nowhere else to turn. Together, we can help build the homes that will change lives.”
