Urban Real Estate has appointed Katrina Tarrant as its first Chief Executive Officer, creating the role to reflect the business’s evolution from startup to one of New South Wales’ fastest-growing independent real estate groups.
The appointment comes as Urban operates across 15 offices with what founder Christopher Lowry describes as a “high performing network of agents and property professionals.”
Ms Tarrant brings more than 30 years of property industry experience, including leading large multi-office networks and guiding organisations through transformation periods.
“Katrina brings the experience and leadership to help us scale what we’ve built with clarity and confidence,” Mr Lowry said.
Mr Lowry will continue working with Ms Tarrant on strategy, innovation and expansion initiatives, though specific details of the leadership structure weren’t provided.
Urban has built its reputation over two decades through what it calls “disciplined growth and operational excellence,” supported by integrated systems that guide clients from land acquisition through to property management.
Ms Tarrant said she was attracted by the business model’s strength and team quality.
“What impressed me most is how intentionally this business has been built,” she said.
“The technology, the processes and the leadership mindset are already strong.
“My focus is supporting our people and creating the conditions where they can thrive.”
The group positions itself as “real estate reimagined,” combining modern infrastructure with local leadership across both sales and property management divisions.
Urban plans measured expansion and aims to attract what it describes as “ambitious, high calibre agents and property managers seeking a modern, well supported environment.”
