Ray White Queensland promotes Gavin Croft to Chief Operating Officer

Ray White Queensland has announced the promotion of Gavin Croft to Chief Operating Officer, effective 2026, signalling a strategic move to strengthen its leadership bench with one of the state's most accomplished real estate professionals.

Ray White Queensland CEO Jason Andrew described the appointment as a strong signal to the market, emphasising Mr Croft’s reputation as a business shaper and his unparalleled experience in the auction arena.

“Gavin is among the most experienced auctioneers in the state and is one of the finest auctioneers in the country,” Mr Andrew said.

“His impact on our business has been substantial, and this promotion reflects our confidence in his ability to drive Ray White Queensland forward. Our war cry is to be the best in market in all that we do, and we won’t accept anything less.”

Mr Croft has served as Chief Auctioneer at Ray White Queensland since mid-2021, bringing two decades of experience across multiple facets of the real estate industry, including roles as a salesperson, auctioneer, business owner, and state manager for other brands.

His career has been marked by exceptional achievement, having overseen more than 20,000 property transactions while maintaining a strategic focus on enhancing consumer experience.

His dedication to excellence has earned him industry recognition, including winning the REINSW Auctioneer of the Year twice and the REIQ Auctioneer of the Year, along with widespread admiration from peers across all levels of the profession.

Prior to joining Ray White Queensland, Mr Croft was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Ray White New Zealand in early 2020.

However, his tenure was unexpectedly cut short when COVID-19 travel restrictions prevented him from returning to New Zealand after the first lockdown, dramatically impacting his family’s relocation plans.

His extensive industry knowledge spans the sophisticated property markets of Sydney, Auckland, and Queensland, providing him with unique insights into diverse market dynamics and consumer needs.

Reflecting on his promotion, Mr Croft expressed enthusiasm about continuing to shape the future of the Ray White Group in Queensland. “I have been working with many of the top offices already in the group, and I am looking forward to bringing my experience into the Queensland network as a whole,” he said.

Mr Croft identified leadership in growth, recruitment, auctions, market share, and lead generation as pivotal focus areas for his expanded role, underscoring Ray White Queensland’s commitment to maintaining its position as a powerhouse in the state’s real estate sector.

The appointment reinforces Ray White Queensland’s strategy of best in market and positions the business for continued growth and market leadership.
