Previously with Harcourts, Mr Suthers’ move represents a strong step forward in expanding the network’s presence across Queensland’s fastest-growing regional property markets.
This is Professionals’ second office on the Capricorn Coast, alongside Professionals Emu Park.
Mr Suthers said the decision to join Professionals came from a desire to align with a network that shares his values and understands the needs of regional agencies.
“After many years with my previous brand, it felt like the right time to reassess what kind of support and structure best suited our business,” Mr Suthers said.
“With the Professionals’ business transformation last year, the brand is fresh and the marketing support is next level. If we need help, the support is there immediately – which makes a real difference in a fast-moving real estate market.”
Mr Suthers said Yeppoon and the broader Livingston Shire were forecast to become one of the fastest-growing councils outside of Brisbane over the next 25 years.
According to Queensland Government Statistician’s Office (QGSO) population projections, Yeppoon is expected to increase from 40,000 residents in 2021 to 63,000 by 2046 – well above the state average.
“People discovered Yeppoon during COVID lockdowns and many simply didn’t want to leave,” Mr Suthers said.
“Yeppoon is in a significant growth phase, driven by lifestyle migration, limited land supply and major infrastructure investment with the region to host 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games rowing events.
“Aligning with Professionals positions us to take full advantage of these opportunities while continuing to serve the local community.”
Professionals CEO Sean Hannebery said the addition of Mr Suthers and his team highlighted the network’s commitment to supporting regional real estate leaders.
“Our network was built on strong community connections, and Mike’s values truly reflect that,” Mr Hannebery said.
“He brings deep local knowledge and a trusted reputation, and his team’s move to Professionals strengthens our shared commitment to delivering outstanding results for regional clients.”
In addition to residential sales and rentals, the Professionals Yeppoon team plays a significant role in local land developments to help address ongoing housing shortages in the region.
The transition marks a new chapter for the Yeppoon office, which consists of a team of 14 staff across sales, property management and administration.
The new Professionals Yeppoon office is now fully operational, with further team growth planned as housing demand in the region continues to rise.
