Professionals appoints events powerhouse to drive next-level experiences

Professionals is raising the bar on events with the appointment of seasoned veteran Andrea Heath as Head of Events & Partnerships, marking a strategic step in the group’s commitment to reimagine how it inspires, educates and connects its members through creative design and delivery of events.

Professionals CEO Sean Hanneberry said events play a critical role in collaboration and connection across Professionals’ network so it was key to bring someone on board who could elevate the organisation’s events strategy and deliver meaningful, high-impact experiences.

“As a member-based network, collaboration is a key to our success. Our culture is built on connection, teamwork and striving towards a common goal of getting great results for our clients,” Mr Hanneberry said.

“Professionals’ underwent a significant and successful business transformation last year, and Andrea’s appointment as head of events and partnerships signals our intent to continue the momentum.

“Throughout her career, Andrea has delivered show-stopping events across the globe. Her experience, creativity and disruptive mindset make her the ideal person to lead this next chapter in events for Professionals.”

With more than two decades of experience across corporate events, partnerships, tourism and live production, Ms Heath brings a rare blend of creative vision, commercial acumen and deep industry networks to the role.

“Andrea will lead the strategy and delivery of all events while also overseeing partnerships, with a focus on leveraging sponsors and collaborators to create more meaningful events, immersive and high-value experiences,” Mr Hanneberry said.

Prior to joining Professionals, Ms Heath led events for Imagine Cruising where she curated unique, “can’t-be-bought” event experiences.

This included hiring John Cleese to host a Q&A during an event in Singapore and producing Icehouse’s 40th anniversary concert for the song “Great Southern Land” in front of Uluru for 500 guests. She also represented the company as Executive Producer for Channel 7’s Epic Rail Journeys of the World, travelling to 18 different countries and showcasing luxury train journeys.

Previously, she also served as Managing Director at Onstage Entertainment for more than 20 years, where she led the delivery of 200 events annually.

“For me, curating an event is about creating an experience people genuinely remember, not just another conference they attend. That’s why I was drawn to this role at Professionals,” Ms Heath said.

“Here is a company that wants to not just do run the mill but instead start elevating the experiences for all its members.

“I’m really excited by the business transformation Professionals has undertaken over the last year and looking forward to keep things moving and on track with the vision.”

Ms Heath has commenced in the role and will lead the organisation’s flagship events throughout the year including the group’s 50th anniversary, which will be celebrated during its International Annual Conference later this year, hosted in Brisbane where Professionals began.
