Nicole Kidman sells luxury Sydney apartment for $8.5 million

According to View.com.au, the three-bedroom apartment on the 15th floor of the Milsons Point complex was purchased by winemaker David Madson in May 2025. 

Ms Kidman had acquired the property in 2023 for $7.725 million, netting her a profit of $775,000 in just two years.

The luxury apartment boasts spectacular views of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House and was previously listed for rent at $2700 per week before the sale.

Ms Kidman’s property portfolio in the Latitude building is extensive, beginning with her first purchase in the complex in 2009. 

After buying her first apartment in the complex in 2009 for $6 million from businessman Mark Bouris, she consolidated it with a $7 million pad next door in 2012 to create an 800 square metre penthouse.

The actor has systematically acquired multiple units in the building over the years, including a residence on the 19th floor for $2.68 million in 2011, a two-bedroom apartment on the 20th floor for $2.78 million in 2021, and a one-bedroom apartment on the fourth floor for $1.35 million in 2022.

Each property has been held in the name of corporate interests represented by Ms Kidman’s childhood friend Annette Rechner, creating a significant real estate footprint in the prestigious development.

The Latitude complex, developed by Mirvac and completed in 2006, offers residents luxury amenities including a swimming pool, spa, sauna, and gym across its 23 floors and 118 units.

Ms Kidman and her ex-husband Mr Urban’s property portfolio extended well beyond Sydney during their 19-year marriage, with investments totalling more than $70 million worldwide. 

The then-couple purchased Bunya Hill, a 45-hectare black Angus cattle stud in the Southern Highlands, for $6.5 million in 2008.

The historic 1878-built residence features period details including pressed metal ceilings, a grand carved cedar staircase, and 10 marble fireplaces. They added modern amenities including an 18-metre swimming pool, a gym, and a full-sized tennis court.

Following their separation in September 2025 and recent divorce finalisation, Ms Kidman continues to live in their Nashville, Tennessee mansion with their two daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 15.

The seven-bedroom property, purchased in 2008 for $US3.47 million, includes a home theatre, tennis court, and swimming pool.
