Nick Dowling has been appointed chairman of FOUNDIT, the national platform connecting property buyers with buyer’s agents.
Nick is the former CEO and current chairman of Jellis Craig, and sits on the REA Group board.
His appointment formalises board-level oversight as the platform expands across Australian markets.
FOUNDIT co-founder Angus Ferguson said the appointment grew out of early conversations about how to scale the business sustainably.
“When we first sat down with Nick, we were seeking advice on growth, positioning and how to build something sustainable,” Angus said.
“It quickly became clear we shared a belief that the buyer side of the industry is entering a more mature phase, and that growth needs to be supported by strong governance and clear standards.”
The platform connects buyers with established buyer’s agents and provides technology for reporting and client management.
Its model focuses on partnering with independent operators rather than building an in-house team.

“Our ambition is to back high-performing agents with the structure and brand presence that allows them to scale confidently,” Angus said.
“We are building a national framework that supports professional operators who want to grow their businesses within a disciplined and well-governed environment.”
Nick said the buyer’s agent segment had reached a point where formal governance structures made sense.
“There is clear momentum in the buyer-focused segment of the market,” he said.
“FOUNDIT is approaching that opportunity with professionalism and intent. The combination of experienced operators, intelligent technology and formal governance creates a strong foundation for sustainable growth.”
