Leading real estate brand Raine & Horne has expanded its Victorian network with the strategic opening of a new office in the Wheelers Hill region.
The new office, Raine & Horne Waverley, will be led by Michael Sheikh, a knowledgeable agent with nearly a decade of experience in the local Wheelers Hill and Glen Waverley markets.
Formerly operating under a boutique independent banner, Mr Sheikh has aligned his business with Raine & Horne to capitalise on the brand’s national reputation, cutting-edge technology, and strong support network.
The new office will service high-demand suburbs across the City of Monash, including Wheelers Hill, Glen Waverley, Mount Waverley, Mulgrave, Clayton, Notting Hill and Chadstone.
“We’ve been looking to establish a presence in the Glen Waverley and Wheelers Hill area for some time,” Randolph Clements, Managing Director of Raine & Horne Victoria said.
“It’s a key growth corridor and home to some of Melbourne’s most desirable addresses. We needed the right person, and with Michael, we’ve found someone who’s respectful, ethical, and reliable. Every promise he’s made, he’s kept.”
Mr Sheikh said joining Raine & Horne was a natural next step for his business.
“Being a small boutique, it was just a little bit hard to get through the doors of vendors and tell them about the business and our services,” Mr Sheikh said.
“Now we are associated with a well-established brand such as Raine & Horne adds a layer of trust that will help open these doors. People want to work with businesses who’ve been there for a very long time and a name that they can relate to.”
Mr Sheikh has already explored Raine & Horne’s industry-leading tech offerings, including Amplify, the first-to-market AI-powered social media marketing platform, and DigiKitPlus, its digital proposals tool.
“I’ve had some exposure to their systems such as CRM tool CompassPlus and property data platforms. Some I’ve used before, others I’m excited to learn more about under the Raine & Horne umbrella,” he said.
“What we’ve seen so far, we’ve liked, and I’m looking forward to leveraging these tools to grow our business.”
Beyond technology, Mr Sheikh said the brand’s rich heritage was another key drawcard.
“Raine & Horne has an incredible history. I recently watched a video of Executive Chairman Angus Raine talking about the brand’s legacy, and it really reinforced the value of being part of a trusted, long-standing Australian real estate brand.”
The Glen Waverley region is driven by a balanced mix of investors, owner-occupiers, and first-home buyers, many attracted by the area’s top-tier schools.
“The local school zones are a huge drawcardโGlen Waverley Secondary College, Brentwood Secondary Collage, Mount View Primary and Caulfield Grammar. Properties within these catchments are tightly held and sell quickly,” Mr Sheikh explained.
“The median house price is around $1.66 million for Glen Waverley and $1.40 million for Wheelers Hill and apartments are averaging close to $948,000.”
Looking ahead, Mr Sheikh plans to grow the team with local sales specialists and build a strong property management division.
“With the Raine & Horne platform behind usโincluding advanced tools like Amplify and DigiKitPlusโwe’re well positioned to scale quickly, deliver exceptional service, and build a substantial rent roll,” he said.
“We’ll be recruiting carefully, focusing on agents who know their patch intimately and can help grow the business.”
