McGrath South Yarra and McGrath Ivanhoe have added five real estate professionals to their teams as the Melbourne franchise signals an aggressive start to the new year.

The appointments span both sales and operations functions across the inner-city South Yarra office and the north-eastern Ivanhoe location.

Michelle Giber joins in an operations role, while Selena Peng returns to McGrath after a two-year stint elsewhere in the industry.

Mathew Crothers will work alongside established leadership at the South Yarra office, and Carter Kingston – who has worked across both residential and commercial real estate – takes up a sales role in Ivanhoe.

Jessica Wat rounds out the appointments, bringing experience from the Manningham area to McGrath’s inner-city operations.

Alex Morgan, Managing Director of Sales for both South Yarra and Ivanhoe, said the appointments reflect a deliberate growth strategy.

“We’re seeing strong momentum across both South Yarra and Ivanhoe, and attracting this level of talent is a direct result of the platform we’ve built,” Alex said.

“Our focus is on creating an environment where high-performing agents can do their best work, supported by strong systems, leadership and collaboration. These appointments are a continuation of a very deliberate growth strategy across both markets.”

The recruitment push comes as Melbourne’s property market continues to draw attention, with inner-city and established suburban markets remaining competitive for both buyers and agents alike.

For McGrath’s franchise operations, the ability to attract agents from competing brands suggests the network’s value proposition is resonating – particularly Selena’s return after maintaining relationships with the team during her time away.

The South Yarra office operates from 111 Toorak Road, positioning the team in one of Melbourne’s most recognised prestige property corridors.
