The Real Estate Employers’ Federation (REEF), Australia’s leading workplace advisory service for the real estate industry, has appointed Linda Baker as President following its recent executive election.
In a milestone moment, Ms Baker becomes the first woman to hold the role of President in the organisation’s 60-year history.
An award-winning Ray White Alumni and respected industry leader from Ray White Norwood, Ms Baker brings a career defined by excellence, consistency and people-first leadership.
Throughout her career, Ms Baker has led by example, combining commercial acumen with a deep understanding of people, relationships and trust.
Her reputation is built on diligence, integrity and a clear-eyed approach to meeting the needs of vendors, buyers and teams alike.
Prior to her appointment as President, Ms Baker served as Committee member and Vice President of REEF, roles she credits with strengthening her leadership capability.
“REEF plays a critical role in supporting real estate employers through what is an increasingly complex and highly regulated workplace environment,” Ms Baker said.
“I’m proud to step into the role of President and to work alongside the committee and executive team to ensure employers are supported, informed and protected.
“Strong workplaces build strong businesses, and that is exactly what REEF exists to support.”
Bryan Wilcox, CEO of REEF, welcomed Ms Baker’s appointment, noting the significance of her leadership at a pivotal time for the industry.
“Linda’s appointment reflects the strength, experience and credibility within REEF’s membership,” Mr Wilcox said.
“She brings practical, frontline insight, sound judgment and a deep understanding of the challenges real estate employers face.
“Her leadership will be invaluable as REEF continues to advocate for, advise and protect employers across Australia.”
REEF represents more than 1,850 real estate employers across every state and territory and is the only nationally registered real estate employer association under the Fair Work Act.
The Committee of Management now reflects equal gender representation, with a 50/50 balance of male and female leaders, supported by REEF’s executive leadership team.
