FOUNDIT Launches in Sydney with Leading Buyers Agent

Sabeen Akbani joins as FOUNDIT’s first Market Expert in Sydney, bringing deep local expertise to the platform’s growing national presence.

Fast-growing property platform FOUNDIT has announced the appointment of Sabeen Akbani as its first Sydney-based Partner, Buyers Agent, expanding its network of Market Experts and building on strong early momentum.

With over 17 years’ experience spanning residential sales, property finance and buyer agency, Sabeen brings a deep understanding of the Sydney market and the clarity buyers need in a high-pressure environment.

She joins as FOUNDIT’s second Buyers Agent, and foundational Sydney partner, following the appointment of Melbourne-based Lynda McNeill.

“Sabeen is one of the most well-known professionals in the real estate game, not just in Sydney but nationally.” commented co-founder, Angus Ferguson.

“So it came as no surprise that she’s established herself as one of the leading Buyers Agents in the eastern suburbs and inner west of Sydney. With over 17 years of experience focused on the buyer, combined with her strength in technology, it was a no-brainer partnership for FOUNDIT.”

Akbani said FOUNDIT’s model was a step-change in how buyers are supported throughout the property journey.

“Buying property can be overwhelming, especially in a market like Sydney where timing and clarity are everything,” she said.

“FOUNDIT gives buyers access to the tools, data and trusted advice they need to make confident decisions. As a Buyers Agent, it means I can focus on what I do best – uncovering hidden opportunities, providing strategic guidance, negotiation and helping my clients find the right home, not just any home.”

FOUNDIT officially launched in June with $2 million in pre-seed funding and backing from prominent industry investors, including leaders from Realbase, Realtair and Propps.

The platform connects informed, ready-to-act buyers with trusted experts, real-time research and early access to listings, reducing friction on both sides of the transaction.

“Our goal is to build a new standard of support for buyers by bringing together the best agents in the country and giving them the tools to scale,” said Ferguson.

“This is about creating a better experience for buyers and a more sustainable model for agents.”

The team is continuing to grow its partner network ahead of a broader consumer launch later this year.
