Former Wallaby Jordan Petaiaโ€™s riverside home hits the market

Former Wallabies star Jordan Petaia has listed his Brisbane property for sale following his recent move to the United States to join NFL franchise the LA Chargers.

The 25-year-old athlete, who earned 31 test caps for the Wallabies, is selling his Fairfield home located at 34 Brisbane Corso after owning it since 2020.

Ray White Holland Park agents Piers Crawford and Brad McMahon are marketing the post-war property, which sits on a generous 647sqm corner block and features three bedrooms, one bathroom, and two car spaces.

The recently renovated home includes dark hardwood timber floors throughout, split system air conditioning, ceiling fans, solar panels, and a double garage with multi-purpose storage room.

Mr Crawford said the property’s location is a major selling point for potential buyers.

“Fairfield is the perfect lifestyle location being so close to parks and Brisbane River, University of Queensland and the cultural and entertainment precincts in West End and South Brisbane,” Mr Crawford said.

He said that the home offers excellent access to major hospitals and falls within the catchment area for Brisbane South State Secondary College, adding to its appeal for families.

The property presents multiple opportunities for buyers, with potential for further development due to its corner position and larger block size.

“It will be perfect for any owner-occupiers or investors looking for a very livable property with excellent opportunity for further development. We have had good interest so far,” Mr Crawford said.

The home features an outdoor entertaining area at the rear, ideal for family gatherings, while the front patio offers a private space to enjoy morning coffee or evening drinks.

Additional features include security mesh screens on all external windows and doors, a large separate laundry with second toilet, and a water tank for garden maintenance.

The property is currently generating rental income of $800 per week, making it attractive to investors seeking immediate cash flow while considering future development options.

The home will go to auction on June 28th at 10am if not sold prior.

Mr Crawford shared that Petaia is embracing his new chapter abroad following his signing with the LA Chargers.

“Jordan has told us he is looking forward to settling into Los Angeles life and is loving the opportunity and high performance environment of the NFL and the Chargers,” he said.

“The home has been very good to him over the years, but he has made the decision to move on.”
