Brad Pitt buys $12 million Hollywood Hills mansion

Hollywood star Brad Pitt has purchased a US$12 million ($AUD18 million) Spanish-style mansion in the prestigious Outpost Estates enclave of Hollywood Hills, adding to his impressive real estate portfolio.

The 8,385-square-foot property features six bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and boasts panoramic views stretching from downtown Los Angeles to the Pacific Ocean.

According to Page Six, the estate comes equipped with enhanced security features, which reportedly influenced Pitt’s decision following a burglary at his Los Feliz home earlier this summer.

The “Fight Club” star purchased the property from Dave Keuning, guitarist of The Killers, and his wife Emilie.

According to the listing, the Spanish-style residence, originally built in 1989, has been recently renovated and features a double-height foyer with wood-beam ceilings and elegant arched doorways throughout.

The property includes steel French doors in the living room, a farmhouse-style kitchen, and multiple airy sitting rooms.

The mansion’s primary bedroom offers floor-to-ceiling windows with sweeping city and ocean views, complemented by a luxurious en-suite bathroom featuring black-and-white marble fixtures.

For entertainment, the property includes a home theatre and recording studio, reflecting its previous ownership by a professional musician.

Outdoor amenities include a swimming pool, fire pit, and vegetable garden, all nestled within lush landscaping that enhances privacy.

The property is well-secured, hidden behind extensive landscaping and equipped with a state-of-the-art alarm system.

Additional security features include a hand-laid brick motor court situated behind a secure entry point.

Pitt’s new neighbours in the exclusive Outpost Estates area include other Hollywood A-listers such as Orlando Bloom and Ben Affleck, making it a sought-after location for celebrities seeking privacy and luxury.

This purchase comes amid changes in Pitt’s real estate holdings.

He recently sold his longtime Los Feliz compound for US$33 million and purchased a clifftop home in Carmel Highlands for US$40 million.

The actor also maintains co-ownership of the Chรขteau Miraval winery in France.
