With more than two decades of experience across residential property management, operational leadership and network performance, Shearer’s appointment represents a strategic step in the continued growth of the business.
His move to Belle Property follows a long-standing professional relationship with Director Brett Trebilcock and a shared vision for the future of the business.
Having grown up on the Mornington Peninsula and begun his real estate career in the region, the opportunity to return in a senior leadership capacity brings both professional and personal alignment.
The strength of the leadership structure, a group of equity partners and an executive team focused on performance, culture and sustainable growth, also played a key role in his decision, alongside the opportunity to invest in the business as an equity partner.
Prior to joining Belle Property, Shearer led the top-performing property management office across Victoria and Tasmania within a major national network and worked extensively across Australia and New Zealand, mentoring franchise owners and property management teams to strengthen compliance, operational efficiency and client experience.
He brings a strong commercial and operational focus with a leadership approach centred on structure, accountability and data-driven performance.
His priority is to establish a market-leading property management division that reflects the growing complexity of the sector, where legislative requirements, client expectations and margin pressures continue to increase.
“High-performing property management businesses are built on structure, accountability and data,” Shearer says.
“Sustainable growth comes from strong systems, disciplined leadership and a culture that supports performance at every level.”
The team’s approach will focus on proactive asset management supported by robust systems, rigorous compliance and clearly defined performance measures, Shearer adds.
“We are refining processes across vacancy management, arrears control, communication and reporting to deliver greater consistency and stronger outcomes for clients. At the same time, there is a strong emphasis on investing in people through training, leadership and clear accountability to support sustainable, high-quality growth.”
As Head of Property Management and equity partner, Shearer will oversee compliance, financial performance, team leadership and systems optimisation, working closely with the executive leadership group to ensure property management is aligned with the broader business strategy.
His focus is on building a resilient, high-performing department that delivers measurable results, strengthens client relationships and supports the long-term success of the business.
Principal Brett Trebilcock said the appointment marks an important milestone for the office.
“Alistair brings exceptional experience, commercial insight and leadership capability. His focus on structure, performance and culture aligns perfectly with our vision and our commitment to delivering a premium, professional property management experience across the Peninsula.”
The appointment reflects the continued growth of Belle Property Mornington | Mount Eliza and its focus on strengthening leadership, capability and long-term performance in one of Victoria’s most competitive coastal markets.
