WA’s Realmark named among BRW’s most innovative

Award-winning WA property group Realmark has been formally recognised for its commitment to business innovation after being named among a select group in BRW Magazine’s 50 Most Innovative Companies.

Realmark, who were the only WA-owned-and-operated business selected, came in at number 28 on the prestigious list, which included companies such as Coles, Commonwealth Bank and Telstra.

Founder and Managing Director John Percudani said Realmark’s place among the business community’s most forward-thinking companies was evidence of its wider culture of innovation.

“At Realmark, we’ve always sought to do things differently – not for the sake of being different, but because we truly believe in always searching for better ways of doing business,” Mr Percudani said.

“That ongoing search for improvement is something that runs right through every facet of our business model and is ultimately the reason we can now lay claim to being one of Australia’s most innovative companies.”

Realmark’s place on the list is the direct result of its progressive approach to property marketing and management. The selection process included survey of Realmark staff to determine the internal culture of innovation within the group. It also included an assessment of Realmark’s marketing and business management innovations, such as the Set Date Sale and For Sale Xpress selling methods, and Tailored Solutions and Select Date Rental methods for property management.

Mr Percudani said these innovative strategies aimed to address the volatility of the WA property market and negate the risk of under-valuing.

“We’d noticed certain problems developing with traditional sales strategies in WA, particularly around the risk of under-selling and under-renting properties,” Mr Percudani said.

“In response to that, we developed Set Date Sale, Tailored Solutions and For Sale Xpress, which are all designed to give our clients the confidence that they’ve achieved a premium outcome. It also gives more buyers and tenants a fairer the opportunity to place an offer. In the case of Set Date Sale, the number of days a property is on the market is roughly half that of traditional sales methods.

“This proves that when these innovations are employed, they’re having a really positive impact and are helping to deliver outstanding results for our clients.”
