Two Victorian auctioneers will bid for Australasian honours later this year with the REIV announcing Luke Banitsiotis of Woodards Blackburn and Michael Wood of Marshall White and Co will represent Victoria at the Australasian Auctioneering Championship in Auckland in mid-October.

The two were declared the top performers in the 2018 Senior Auctioneer of the Year competition held at REIV headquarters over the past two days.

Luke Banitsiotis believes in keeping the process as simple as possible and, with the vendor, developing a clear path to a successful sale. He believes a flexible approach assists in ensuring a premium result.

Michael Wood was a finalist in the REIV Senior Auctioneer of the Year in 2013, 2014 and 2016. He takes pride in keeping his clients fully informed throughout the sales campaign and instilling in them the confidence that they are in capable hands.

Fourteen auctioneers from around Melbourne contested the heats this week, with six of them competing in the final round yesterday.

The ultimate winner of the Victorian 2018 Senior Auctioneer of the Year will be decided between the pair, with the announcement to be made at the REIV Gala Awards Night in late October.
