The expanding RE/MAX Australia network created two additional senior management positions as RE/MAX strategically strengthens its brand throughout Australasia.
Joel Davoren has been appointed State Manager for New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory, and will relocate from Brisbane to Sydney in October.
Joel, who at the start of this month became the fourth Director of RE/MAX Australia and New Zealand, joining Michael Davoren, Keith Walker and Chris Chapman, continues a very successful real estate career begun more than a decade ago.
Adelaide-based Richard Carter steps up from his Business Development Consultant role to State Manager for South Australia and the Northern Territory. His career choices have taken him from Adelaide, through South Australia to remote areas of the Northern Territory and provided varied business management experience; and his successful real estate career spans almost 15 years.
RE/MAX Australia is gaining momentum as a significant player in this nation’s real estate scene.
Managing Director Michael Davoren reports that agent numbers are trending upwards with a solid three per cent increase over the first six months of this year as RE/MAX Australia sought quality professionals to join its ranks.
“The strongest states for the RE/MAX brand are currently Western Australia, which is a separate master franchise to the rest of the nation, and Queensland. However, RE/MAX Australia has opened 11 new offices this year alone in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia, with potential for another eight to 10 before the end of 2014.”
He said the state manager appointments were clearly showing the market that RE/MAX Australia is serious about growth.
“We have first targeted Sydney and Adelaide as state manager bases because these are very important markets in which to position the brand. Through their business development roles, Joel and Richie consistently demonstrated potential to take on greater responsibilities – and the state manager responsibility is massive – so the time was right
“We have a strong corporate team based in Brisbane, which includes business development and support people covering all states, and this will remain the case.
“As RE/MAX Australia positions itself as an industry leader, it is an emerging powerhouse in the global RE/MAX network,” said Davoren, “and the growth of the RE/MAX brand is testament to the success of its innovative business model, which nurtures the entrepreneurial spirit in the established agent or industry newcomer.”
The RE/MAX reach is 95 countries, over 6500 offices, and approximately 100,000 people employed or contracted worldwide.
