REIQ marketing campaign asks: “Are you with the REIQ?”

The Real Estate Institute of Queensland has launched a major marketing campaign, rolling out print, television, radio and digital advertisements that urge consumers to ask their real estate professional, “Are you with the REIQ?”.

The campaign promotes REIQ members to the community, showcasing them as an elite, trustworthy group of property professionals, committed to the pillars of professionalism – ongoing professional development, adherence to a strict code of conduct, and being guided by the REIQ Standards of Business Practice.

REIQ CEO Antonia Mercorella said the campaign would give the public a starting point when they began their property journey.

“We know that the vast majority of people begin their real estate journey online and we’re letting people know that they can go to to find a real estate professional who they can trust to give them all the help and support they need,” she said.

“For many people who are buying or selling for the first time, it can be a daunting time and most people are anxious to dot every I and cross every t.

“An REIQ member agent can make sure nothing gets missed and is someone that you can trust,” she said.

The campaign’s key call to action is to visit to find a real estate professional.

“ is a starting point where people can find an agent in their area – whether it’s a residential sales agent, a buyer’s agent, a property manager, an auctioneer or even a business broker or a commercial agent.

“All of these professionals are easy to find on our searchable database,” Ms Mercorella said.

The campaign targets those new to the real estate market, either buying or selling a property for the first time.

Ms Mercorella said the “Are you with the REIQ?” campaign was part of a fresh, new dynamic approach from the REIQ.

“This is the first year of a three-year strategy to promote our membership and drive awareness of the REIQ within the property-purchasing and selling community.

“This major campaign will culminate in 2018 which is the year of our centenary,” she said.

“The REIQ is preparing to mark a century of helping to shape the real estate profession in Queensland and we are very excited about reaching this significant milestone.

“We look forward to sharing our achievements with our members and with the Queensland real estate community.”

The campaign, “Are you with the REIQ?” launched on Channel Ten on Sunday November 15 and will continue for a month. It will return to TV screens in the new year. To see the television commercial, visit

The radio component launched on October 1 on the Southern Cross Austereo network throughout Queensland, comprising Triple M, Hit105 and the SeaFM stations. It will be used at scheduled intervals throughout 2016.

The state-wide print component will launch in January.

“We are extending this campaign well into 2016 and will continue to educate the consumers about the value of choosing an REIQ member for all of their real estate needs,” Ms Mercorella said.
