RE/MAX Sydney presence grows with two new franchises

Three successful real estate identities have joined RE/MAX Australia to open two franchises in the Sydney region of Canada Bay.

Garry Kelly is principal of residential agency RE/MAX KRG and RE/MAX Commercial Alliance.

He established himself as a well-known and respected business figure as a director of Strathfield Car Radios. Mr Kelly retired from the board in 2001 and left to pursue a career in property development and real estate.

His reputation as a commercial real estate specialist and real estate business leader has grown since.

Business manager for RE/MAX Commercial Alliance and RE/MAX KRG is Ana Kelly, who heads the finance and property management divisions.

Meanwhile, highly-successful residential sales agent, Matt Roffe, is director and sales manager of RE/MAX KRG, and is also Garry and Ana Kelly’s son-in-law.

“The most important thing we want the market to know is that we are the same people offering the same level of service,” Mr Roffe said.

“We have made the transition to RE/MAX for the benefit of our customers and clients.”

He explained how culture, growth and global reach predicated the brand change.

“We are a family business, so having the right culture within our business is very important to us.

“I’ve known RE/MAX Australia Managing Director, Joel Davoren, personally for more than six years, and more recently Director of Operations, Josh Davoren.

“Back in 2014, we were fortunate enough to be invited to a massive RE/MAX annual event held at Brisbane City Hall where we experienced an incredibly inclusive, supportive culture.”

Mr Roffe said the attraction of the culture and way of doing business had remained strong in their minds and they turned to it when they wanted a particular direction for their business.

“The RE/MAX brand will allow for business growth both in our residential and commercial businesses,” he said.

“The commercial sales and leasing component of our business has grown significantly in the last 12 months and we are ready for it to stand as a separate entity, but there wasn’t the flexibility to do so under the previous brand.

“There is huge potential for commercial growth in the inner west corridor and RE/MAX Commercial Alliance will allow us to meet the needs of that market.

“We accepted RE/MAX Australia’s invitation to join its network as we clearly see joining the RE/MAX group opens more doors for our existing and new clients.

“We can grow our business with a real estate brand that has a global reputation for excellence, which is already in more than 110 countries, and has a reach of more than 130,000 RE/MAX agents globally.

“While our real estate agency presents a new face to the community, we are the same team offering the same excellent service and local expertise we pride ourselves on,” Mr Roffe said.

“That said, we are anticipating growth in numbers in order for both the residential and commercial sales teams to meet the demands of our market.”

Joel Davoren said Mr Roffe and the Kellys were the calibre of business owners and agents he sought to feed RE/MAX Australia’s expansion appetite in the Sydney market.

“I have a long relationship with Matt, Garry and Ana based on mutual respect, so I am delighted and excited to have them join RE/MAX and pleased to see them springboard their growth in Canada Bay and greater surrounds,” he said.

The new RE/MAX commercial and residential real estate offices share premises at 54 Mortlake Street, Concord in Sydney’s inner west.
